I'm just about to spend several grand on a project studio and I'm still undecided about whether to go PC or go Mac. I know in the past Mac's have been favoured for reliability but I know that some of the problems with PC's have been ironed out. Also, with a PC you can actually get into it to do any handy work you might want to do. With a Mac you can't. I use Logic Audio software so which is the better option if I am going to use a comdination of synthetic sounds generated from plug-ins, samples and organic sounds as well (Fender Rhodes, Guitars, Upright bass, Vocals etc etc).

I can see a common theme developing here.

If you don't believe us ask, Moby, Steve Vai, Dallas Austin or do a search on www.deja.com on PC vs Mac.

With Mac's you get CD quality sound right out of the box.

They are easy to use. I'm no computer genius and they are easy to use.

I'm a veteran Mac user (mostly Graphics) and had to weigh these options.

I feel like I crossed the line but I went to a pc.

The software (Cakewalk) was so much cheaper. The pc was so much cheaper.

I feel like I betrayed my mac but I use both and I'm making music on my pc laptop and burning discs at the same time.
