What is your biggest inspiration for writing

Mine is the birth of my first child. As soon as I found out theat my partner was expecting our first my writing and recording went into overdrive. After he was born the writing took another leap despite the lack of sleep.

What inspires you the most.

Silly things.
Words, when it comes to lyrics.

Silly slip of the tongues of friends, creating a new word that I can turn into a nice new monster for my children stories.

Moonbeam describing his relationship with Diva, giving me enough inspiration to write an entire song from scratch.

Words in magazines. Like The Body Electric.

Etc. etc.

Same goes for me on those points. Add "relationships in general" to it.

LOVE

The first stage of love is so inspiring, when everything is new. That daydreaming feeling of infatuation, admiration and gratitude. It just takes over and soon I'm writing poetry and lyrics. The emotion inspires the melody of the lyrics and then I can start to write the music.

Other times music comes first. I usually just hear something in my head - it comes from nowhere for no reason. Or I will be sitting at the keyboard, playing around with sounds and I stumble across something. That's fun, like finding a treasure.
