So I've been writing recently and getting a lot of melody ideas and would like to start recording soon. I have some drum programs, my guitar, and now i need a synth. Yea, you guessed it, i like that prince sound, but something new or cool wouldnt hurt. i know these things get expensive some im not gonna have a lot of choices, but i would like to not go over $300 or so. I see these on Craigslist once in a while...even new it would fit your budget. I love how many sounds I get out of it...

there's always the Yamaha DX7 or a Roland JX-3P if you don't mind a used one from the 80s

If u have a controller, your best bet would be 2 a get a used Roland JV2080 or 3080. Great bargain at about what u want 2 spend.
