New York City

Yellow taxis race for fares
cars, trucks, buses everywhere
sounds of sirens in the air
Traffic jams causing woes
tourists, pedestrians on the go

Skyscrapers touch the sky
looking down on passersby
At night, the streets become a bed
where homeless people rest their heads
Subway musicians underground
romance New Yorkers with their sounds

Vendors yell in Times Square,
“$5.00, $10.00 over here!”
Broadway plays, MSG,
34th street, limousines
Nightclubs, fashion, Jazz and Art
restaurants and Central Park,

Madison, Park and Fifth Avenues
crawling with tourists catching the view
Hustle and bustle, always busy,
that’s the beauty of New York City

lol I think the young people enjoy Times Square, more than any other part of the city, so maybe that is where you should take him when you get there. Also, you catch a broadway show while you're at it, and take him to our museums, and a tour of Madison Square Gardens and Radio City Music Hall as well.

...just cuz...it's famous... lol Oh, I know exactly what you mean. She'll enjoy shopping at the 34th street mall, which is on the same strip as Macy's and one block from Madison Square Gardens as well.

You can get a real nice view of the top of the Empire State Building as well standing across by the 34th street mall. Last year I stood across the street by the 34th street mall, and took a nice pic of the Empire State Building. Especially when it's a clear blue sky. Also not too far, about 2 to 3 blocks, down 5th avenue, you can catch the tour bus that takes you around Manhattan. It's always busy with tourists getting on that bus. I believe it's called the "Grayline" if I am not mistaken. Your kids will have a good time. Then they can visit Central Park before they leave as well.
