My new Jazz Fusion song.....1st attempt Hey everyone, I have a new song on www.mp3.com/jdodson called "Hot Gravy". It is a mellow jazz instrumental with a chorus that you can take a few different meanings from.

Thanks Isaiah, Emale. I really appreciate the love. It's new gravy, so it was hot coming out. Mellow and hot like some Almond Amoretto Cappucino. Anyhow, Emale, as always feel free to add anything you want to the NPR site, and I will be posting with new songs in the next couple days. And, Isaiah, let me know how you liked the CD and which songs you liked, after you are done listening.
Thanks y'all | |

HEY!
Yeah here was what I liked the most! Love and Lust. That is a very nice track! I was walking 2 the post office and u started talking about how someone stop their car in the middle of the street 2 look at some woman, "get yo behind out the street", lol! SCARLET LETTER!!! Many a Prince influence in this song! especially in the end "Why u wanna put that letter on u? It dont fit ur character" Lemme c ur act baby! Reminicent of The Beautiful Ones...This track I played about 3 tmes ina row. It is a memorable one! Yes. "Let ur yes be yes, and no be no". I like this 50's pop. Different feel 2 the album. U Lied, has a Prince / James Brown type of feel 2 it, the organ in the background is cool, going along with the vocals. Kinda reminds me of "Didnt Mean 2 Turn U On", but it don't sound like that though. Act 2's Intro, i wish it was longer, the pounding drums were cool. New Funk Revolution. Do I hear a little Controversyish acton going on? I 4got what type of sound that is in the musik. Very electronic. Reminicent of Sexuality baby boy! Object! I like the beat in this song! The vocal arrangement is kul also! Seasons. This probably my favorite on the album. The lyrics are really nice! I wish I thought of it. The pounding drums are back from the intro, i like those drums! . The view of probably every relationship, boy on boy, girl on boy, girl on girl. What did u think of my favorite tracks, are they urs 2? ur friend Isaiah Straight Jacket Funk Affair

The pounding drums are back from the intro, i like those drums! . The view of probably every relationship, boy on boy, girl on boy, girl on girl. My favorite on the CD is probably U Lied. That 9+ minute blues-funk fusion was another one I wrote in a time of heartbreak. "Yes" was originally intended to break in from the song "Saint" directly. I really like "Saint" as well. Saint is a way that I feel quite alot. "Object" was another one of those heartbreak numbers. "Scarlet Letter" was the biggest of the heartbreak songs. I really felt it when I hit that part "Why...did you do what you did to me, yeah". I wrote "Seasons" the day that me and my wife separated in the past. NFR was a pseudo-electrofunk jam that has some political message in it, as well as the call for the revolution. Of course, the song "Susannah" was just a 2000's take on the book of "Susannah" from the Apocrypha. "Love and Lust" was a Time inspired song. I kinda had a Morris feel on that one. I kinda just put the definition of the two terms in simple terms...plus it was kind of a message pointed at a specific person at that period of time. I would say that the songs that meant the most to me on the CD were "Seasons", "Saint", "Scarlet Letter", "U Lied", and "Lonely 4 U". | |
