Rate my music and lyrics Have a listen / read and tell me what you think. Im aware that my singing isnt great, and that the quality of some of the recordings isnt great either, so just tell me what you think of the music (and songwriting) itself.

Fine, I'll wade in with my amateur critique...
It's good, 6 of 10 stars I would say. I say this with all due respect and because I love up and coming musicians. The pointer I would like to give would be tighten up each song, I found some intros to be a little long winded, seemed like it took forever to get to the lyrics. If you mean "Try me" and "Back in the day" thats because any singing that you heard was either just the chorus or some ad libbing towards the end. Remember many of these are just rough recordings and not complete. The rest (apart from a couple, where there is singing and the intros are no longer than 8 bars) are instrumentals.
But i can understand why you thought the intros went on for ages. There are more lyrics for those 2 songs, i just didnt feel ready to sing the whole thing when i recorded them. What needs tightening up? The music itself or the structures? | |
