Hi folks.

I just want to be the concept man here again.

I've been talking with Julian from Julian's Ride, and he and I both would love to see a new artist's community website come forth, one that can be very easily maintained by a novice with little computer technology or programming experience. The reason I say this is because the NFO had cost money and time to run for a couple of the people who used to update it, and it didn't seem like there were enough people wanting to really get seriously involved with it any longer.

I would like to put together a basic website where people can simply display their music as MP3's and streaming audio, even if we have to centralize it on another subpage like Soundclick or even Myspace (as I tried with the beginning of the NFO Project 4 rough draft).

I want to display poetry and written essays as well as visual art and music from original artists who happen to like Prince and funky music in general.

I don't want anything fancy. This isn't for profit, this isn't to be used as a platform for popularity, this would be for community and sharing of art only, without criticism. I don't care about the technical quality of the recording, I just want to hear original music, no matter how rough it is.

If any of you are down with this, let's do it. Org user Yamomma, I will be calling you soon, maybe it's time for a shift back to the basics so that people can get centered back in a community atmosphere. I really think it's time. I've been involved in politics and other projects over the last couple of years, and I need to get back to the music. I think many of us do. Let's just share our music, regardless of what it sounds like!
