After hearing his performance on the live 5-track Indianapolis E.P.(especially Xenophobia) I simply can't wait to see the man himself in action next month.Michael B for me is still the man but JB sounds more incredible every time I hear him play.
A few years back I got front row for Sting and got to see my other idol Manu Katche play up close,hopefully with my concert pass this will be just as amazing as that experience.

He's awesome. If you are impressed with just the sound, wait until you see with your own eyes how flashy he is while playing those sounds, he's incredible.

One of the best percussionists I've ever seen.

I've seen Neil Pert and Buddy Rich and those are the only others I would compare to John Blackwell.

I was lucky enough to be at the workshop he did during Xenophobia. Awesome! He also played during Larry Graham's workshop. He's such a nice guy too.

John Blackwell is a "Bad" man. If you dig him, you are really going to dig a drummer named Dennis Chambers. He has worked with everybody.Check him out.
