Without the spark
Forever in the dark
From one substitute to another
Never to meet a meaningful lover

Trying to deceive myself
To the detriment of my health
Maybe my expectations are too high
But these desires wont die

The numbers continually surmount
Too many the faces i struggle to recount
I ve hurt and been hurt
Sometimes sentences can seem too curt

Involved as i am in another game
Its at the end the outcome the same
We said words we wanted to believe
So ourselves and each other we tried to deceive

I have to take control stop myself from going low
Reversing this destructive flow
But the feelings they keep coming
Like a fool from the truth i keep running

"But these desires wont die"

But these desires wont die
nor should they
they keep us alive
and keep death at bay
even if in seeming deception
to live another day
the feeling of desire is real
reaching...
with a life of it's own
that belongs to you


the day it dies
will be a sad day indeed

let desire run through your blood
not in vein
