Audio Production:Tips for a Beginner Hello Orgers
I have recently decided i wanted to be an audio producer/engineer and am starting school in NYC at IAR(institute of audio recording) it seems like an excellent school, that isnt too expensive, with good job placement and I am truly excited. I was just wondering if any of yall in the field or who have been in the field have any tips for a beginner? I want to do an internship while in school and wondering whether this can help, and if it is easy to get an internship/job just starting out with barely any experience abesides the classroom. Also any technical tips like what computer software and hardware I should look at, synths, etc. Thankyou! p.s-I'm a girl and I know there are few of us in the field so any tips on how ya dealt are also awesome

Try to get work in film or tv when you're finished with school...and best of luck to you. ![]() I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I just started making music on my computer this year. I purchased a very cheap program from Target called Magix Music Maker and a PODxt from Guitar Center for my guitar. Its very much a beginner set up, I guess. But I'm still having fun with it.
