That funky Crytal Ball riff

I've been trying to figure this one out forever! I find it much harder to dissect and play funk chords more than other types. In fact, I attempted the whole Shy intro, but that's just too much right now, so I tried Crystal Ball… and I still can't do it! AAARGHH!!!

Anybody know how to play the funky riff in Crystal Ball? eek

Here's a little clip of what I mean: http://download.yousendit...2D4D112350

EmbattledWarri
or

from the clip u gave i really cant make out the riff

but i can give u what i think the shy one is
i play this song live,
so i use 2 interpretations
the power chord version and the barre chord version
either way so fine to me
im not sure if its the same that p used, but it sounds similar

the key is just the sparatic rhythm and tone,
i leave it on a deep bassy crunch tone
focusing on the middle pick up

its basically just two chords
C#5 D#5 4 scratch , just alternate chords, first the C#5 4 sctratch the the D# 5

to give it more color just turn that into a barre chord

or to minimalize instead of using the full chords
use the root notes for the first too chord hits and leave the chords for the scratches
anyways to do it
