This new tune "The Bermuda Triangle"(my tribute to Jaco Pastorius) was a serious project to finish. Many late nights trying to get this one right! I hope you enjoy it... cool

Zappa-like vibe and I love the moods it goes through. Your solo is smoking, love that tone you get guitar

Who are the players on this? Just insane talent on evey instrument, that drummer is just killin me.

So Frank, what's the plan for all of this great music you're making? Make a CD and tour or sell for commercials? I only ask because the world needs to hear this stuff, it's just so damn good.

Very nice. Probably the best track you've posted here. Dig the Jaco vibe. All in all, nice work sir!

Thanks guys you made my day!

This tune was written using Logic Pro 7 on my Mac G5. The interface was a Presonus Firepod.

The guitar on the clean sound was my 62 strat with 1968 pickups into a 1966 Blackface Super Reverb. The solo guitar was an old San Dimas Charvel with Tom Anderson pickups into a Mesa Boogie Triaxis with 2/90 Mesa Boogie power amp into a single open back cab with a EV 12" speaker miked with and Shure SM57. All effects were done in Logic.

I play keyboards so I did most of the arrangement first on the rhodes in Logic then then I multitracked from there. The head to the tune in the second section is tough to play, lots of sixteenth note syncopation and you gotta count it out just right or it can become a trainwreak. lol

The way I sync the guitar to piano is first I record the piano track in Logic then I print the musical notation of just the melody in standard treble clef. Then it's a matter of me practicing the line off the page with a metronome until I can pull it off and then finally attempting a clean take in Logic. This is great way of getting your reading chops together. I usually don't always realize the difficulty of my own lines written on the keyboard until I try to play them on the guitar.

I spent alot of time on it to get it right. The bass was done on my keyboard controller using the fretless patch in Logic. The tune hopefully will be performed soon by my quartet live at future concerts. If you have any other question feel free to ask. Thanks again for listening!
