A poem I wrote for the baby I miscarried, 1987

It's my first poetic-side, post. I'm getting over a lot of things and poetry is helping a lot. Thank you for any feed back.

“My Baby G...1987” By Rex 10162005

Piercing spasms
Burgundy river
flowing out my womb
Perspiration stung my sight
yet I saw your porcelain tomb

Pigmentations
Salmon Orange &
streaks of red
With tissue
I touched you, once
Shiny lever
noisy dirge
Oh God
My baby’s gone

Held the sorrow
Eighteen years
Void echoed
where your
memories belonged

My precious child
As mourning quiets
my love for you
goes on

There’ll come the day
I pass those gates
Embrace and thank my Lord
Then recognizing my own smile
and your Father’s eyes
I will exclaim
“Beloved I am your Mom”!
I'll ♥️ "LemonDrop" 2DN 💋 your "Sugar"

Damn, I have tears in my eyes after reading this. What a beautiful poem about such a tragic experience.

Good to know that you are starting to feel better these days, I wish you all the best. Much love and I hope U will see your child in heaven, just like you've written in the last paragraph. hug
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I even embroidered an abstract design on a T-shirt that I wear as an everlasting memorial to my own personal tragedy... Hardly anybody knows what it's about. It sort of flowed from my unconscious.

What a great idea. I think that expressing lost is healthy.

Yes, it's important to honor that loss... or else the sorrow just bottles up inside you and wreaks all sorts of other kinds of havoc on your health and life.
