CDs are Here! Selling To Benefit Katrina Survivors

I'm very excited to tell you that the CDs have finally arrived!

Yay! You can now buy the CDs from me in person or go to the web site, click on the PAY NOW!! link, and get your buy on. Shipping is covered by me.

I am so happy to have the CDs, but shocked and upset by the horrors left from the recent hurricane Katrina. I wanted to do something - anything - to help. So here it is.

For the next two months, I will donate $8 from every CD sold to the American Red Cross, specifically to benefit those affected by hurricane Katrina. So, if you haven't already, go buy a copy of the CD and dig the music, AND feel good that you're helping people who are in serious trouble right now.

Buy ten copies for your family. It's the feelgood hit of the year.

Okay. That's it for now. Thanks again to everybody who've supported my music. I hope you enjoy the CD as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Buy the CD! $12.98!

To those of you who already bought your copies, they'll be in the mail tomorrow!

Me too. I'm donating ALL CD PROFITS of my CD's for the month of September to the American Red Cross. I've also lowered the price to about $5. My stuff is indie rock.

I should mention that my benefit is set up through my online distributor, which is CD Baby. Its all legit and they're taking care of all the details.

I would recommend CD Baby to sell CD's online, they kick so much ass.

About the Red Cross:
The American Red Cross is not a government agency. All Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to its many volunteers. The ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is almost 36 to one.

During this time of national emergency, the American Red Cross is focusing on accepting donations to the National Disaster Relief Fund.

Hey I just found out that my company is going to match any individual's donations, so, just so you'll know, when you buy a CD, $16 goes to the relief fund.

I LOVE this job. (weather.com)

Great that your Music can help out the relief effort in the wake of hurricane Katrina, Beau. Fantastic gesture.
From what I've seen on the news in 'OZ' this was much worse than expected .
I don't like linking your Album with the relief effort, it's very sad , so mentally I'll think i'm buying an Album,(1); and giving to the Disaster Relief Fund(2)seperately.

p.s. Is there an alternate way of paying, rather than Paypal/credit card?
Like Postal order or cheque ?
~PClinuxOS~ yes I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ... thumbs up!

Not sure how much you spent on the mastering of this puppy, but I can tell you it was well worth it, whatever it was.

I played this in the car stereo this morning and the clarity was amazing. Now I know what you've been raving about in your mixing blogs all this time.

Your engineer did a GREAT JOB!

Hey! I'm in the liner notes! Did I mention that already? lol

Holy mother who does their website? No calendar? No "upcoming shows"?

CDs were done through shuteyerecords.com here in Atlanta, but they sent the project up to somebody in New York. The package thru them included a bar code, but I'd already purchased one thru CDBaby.com before I decided on a CD manufacturer. Eh, whatever. $35 in the hole.

Here's the calendar: http://www.bamboorm.com/e...edule.html

I'm going to approach them soon. That's like "THE PLACE" for blues around here. They have a live recording studio upstairs for recording the shows. The place is really plush. Getting your foot in the door is next to impossible for local folks, so I'm hoping to do just that by doing their website.

Hopefully ... I might do a demo site for them of some sorts and see if they bite.

I WANTED to use a place that was local, that pressed the CDs locally, (I should have ASKED them point-blank if they do them locally, because they dont).

My logic there was that I would save time on proofing the artwork and could, if necessary, go pick up the CDs when they were ready. Unfortunately, they had the CDs manufactured up in New York, so, that plan was shot out the window.

Nonetheless, I was very very happy with them, they did a great job, got the CDs to me within the time that they said they would, (I was the one who got the final disc/artwork to THEM too late, and hoped that they could get it going faster).

I might use them for publicity, I don't know, they've got a lot of great local acts on their label. Also, I asked around - asked local artists about CD manufacturers, locally and nationally, and their name came up several times.

www.shuteyerecords.com

Yamomma - I'll shoot them an e-mail, see if they bite. Thanks for the hookup

that was the same strategy we were going to use but nobody had a better price or package than discmakers.it would be ideal if a local company could do it because being hands on is the best possible way.

I know a band here in town (Delta Moon) who used a local plant, (well, it's like 100 miles away). I can give you their contact info if you want Tal.
