Speech Level Singing How many of you have heard about Speech Level Singing? I was thinking about buying the book by seth riggs, and it sounds good. Has anyone tried it? Does it work?

It's a great technique... buy the book but also make sure you study with a certified SLS teacher because you need to make sure you are doing the exercises right. You can look up all certified teachers at http://www.sethriggs.com

Well...from what I've read about it..its about 60% right...watch out for the "crossing the bridges" thing though...registers are more important than "head voice" and "chest voice"...there's chest voice, low voice, lower middle voice, middle voice, upper middle voice, high voice and coloratura...these all require and different degree of vowel modification...which is the real key to larynx approximation...may I suggest a book called: "Singing:the Mechanism and the Technic(yes its spelled like that...)" by William Vennard...there's alot more to the parts of the voice than what they discuss in SLS...and you need to know that.
