Counter-Attack. Raw Demo. This recording is from around October last year. It's a rough draft of a tune I wrote. My friend Chris is on Keyboard, and we've basically just mapped out the timing and chord pattern in a hurry and jammed it.I know this is low quality recording , and sounds terrible, so this is just the embryo.
Shortly after this loose jam all our equipment was stolen. Last week we dragged out the 4 track tape to refresh our memeory. Burnt it, ripped to Mp3 and here it is, in all it's imperfections. Counter-Attack We've finally got some more equipment, and the process of building the piece will resume now. Some negative feedback would be greatly appreciated, Any way please have a listen. The general structure is there, we'll redo the whole thing, add a solo, and figure what to do with the keys, drums etc. Any feedback is appreciated .Thanks! ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I've always wondered what your music sounded like.
Positive, I enjoy the minor vibe and the keyboardists sounds as good as do you. I know from listening to the other song that you guys are like a Pink Floyd hybrid developing some new kind of melodic minor music and I can't wait to hear more. I mean don't walk, run to the music store and get whatever you need to record more. You asked for negative, this is just a little too repetitive for me. (I know its an idea in progress but it wants to go somewhere else, IMO. Then it's a variation of a Lenny Kravitiz tune "Little Girls Eyes" (off of the 5 album) with a slight variation at the end. Drums need work.

Thanks for listening Slave2daGroove and your comments . Yeh this is a loose draft, which probably is kinda silly to post about, but its been so long getting back to a point where I can get things happening musically that I couldn't help myself.
I like the moody tone with minor keys. I wasn't aware of Lenny's song ,"Little Girls Eyes", and appreciate you mentioning that it's similar. Work in progress, and who knows what the tune will sound like after recording it properly. I suppose this is just a count through of the bars and a rough map of the changes. I'm looking forward to getting it finished and working with Chris a lot more this year. He's a hard guy to pin down, working 9 to 5, busking for a couple of hours in the City on his way home, which he's done for around 15 years now as a regular . He's got 6 kids, plays piano in a nice restaurant friday evenings, is a featured player in the City Square here in Melbourne every saturday night; and I love him. Thanks again for your positivity, and hey! I like your avatar. ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...

It's got real possibilities. It's got a Jimi Hendrix vibe to it. Just add a nice guitar melody over it.Shortly after this loose jam all our equipment was stolen. Thanks Styles, FrankAxtell, & talmuzic for having a listen.

Yeh Frank, I'm trying to imitate Jimi's simple hammering technique. It's not quite as simple as I first thought. I had a listen to your performance at the Street Painting festival which Kelly posted a link to last night. Really sophisticated jazz/rock. You guy's are really tight and work of each others playing very intuitively. Then I had a listen to that Bach classical piece I downloaded from here before christmas. The years of hard work certainly have paid off. Inspirational! Jshua, I love your music. Thanks for the props. talmuzic, I've gotta revisit your Music, and familiarise myself. There's so much cool Music being posted it's hard to keep up ! Guy's your comments are priceless to me, we all need encouragement, much appreciation to you all. ~PClinuxOS~ I've been here longer than I care to remember, ... I drop in from time to time, ...
