has anybody owned (or used) a triton le keyboard? I am close to getting one and would like to hear some feedback on how good (or not so good) it is. Also this would be my first 'high end' keyboard and it would help me out if someone could briefly explain some of the features in lamens terms, such as sampling and sequencing. thanks in advance

triton le is a great keyboard. i had one for about a year and i must say despite my reservations (as it was a financial reason to buy, i had prevously owned a triton) i was very very happy with it. i would urge you to look at a second hand fantom s, or if your budget will allow a fantom x. this is what i play now, along with a roland fp3 and it is an amazing keyboard. the sequencer is so easy to use, the ultimate piano is the best piano sound i have ever played and for recording, it will blow you away. ep's are great amongs a sea of other amazing sounds. my only problem? prince, and renato both use motifs at the moment!! but for a workstation i thought they were limited, i also had one for about 6 months!!
however if you go for an le, rest assured you will get a great keyboard for your money, especially the more dancey kind of sounds.
the sampling option is an add on and is quite limited and that is where the fantom wins me over. the sequencer is good to use, the fx are limited and the korg sounds suffer for it. having said that, with a bit of creativity you can get some really good results. if you get one and are struggling then feel free to give me a shout.

I use an LE for most of my recording lately. Believe it or not the general midi sounds are so good that I use them for my quick sketch recording and get great results. I love this keyboard. If you want a second choice I would recommend anything in the Alesis line as well.

I'm enjoying the hell out of my Triton Le76 right now. Of course, I'm aware there are better ones out there, but after learning this one, I'll move along. In the meantime, I'll keep on funkin' with this one.
