Logic Audio, iMic and the iBook

i have a new iBook and i also bought an iMic since there is no audio input for this laptop. anyway, i can't get the speakers to work with iMic but they work when i use headphones but only from the iMic device.

anybody know a solution?

oh it does work the iLife apps but it won't with Logic Audio.

In your Mac, you should have an audio preference panel that allows you to choose what device you want the audio to feed out too.

In OSX it is under System Preferences/Sound
There you can choose your input/output devices

I no longer have an OS 9 machine to look at, but I think I remember it being under the control panel when you click on the apple menu.

you should have ports on the side for audio on that machine though.

I use the headphone jack to run out to the stereo or the USB ports to run out to the harman/kardon system they sell. The Macs are using the Firewire and USB standards more and more for audio and video.

Here are some downloads for iMic: http://www.apple.com/down...vinyl.html

I would also recommend getting iLlfe: http://www.apple.com/ilife/
The whole ilife suite is only 50 bucks and well worth it for everything you get.

Garage Band has a lot of cool items and it comes with iLife: http://www.apple.com/ilife/garageband/
