Questions about NPGMC tracks (probably already asked...)

Hi all... I'm sure these questions have already been asked, but I can't find the answers. Please help:

A) THE DANCE - is this a new track or was it available on previous versions of NPGMC?
B) CONTROVERSY (Hawaii) - What is the date this was recorded?
C) BATACLAN - What was the date this was recorded?

Thanks in advance!

A) New track, never before heard. Sounds like Emancipation Disc II which is personally one of my least favorite Prince "sounds", but many people seem to LOVE this track.

B)Sometime in December, 2003 I believe.

C)...Um...Sometime in fall 2002...October-ish maybe?

D) Don'tcha fucking wish the club wasn't so goddamn lazy that they can't even tell you when a live track was recorded? Fucking goombahs.

Anxiety

I don't think that "The Dance" sounds anything like Emancipation Disc II, and I don't know where the comparisons come from, other than the fact that it's a slow love song. If I were pressed to make a comparison, I'd say that "The Dance" has the same kind of uninspired drum programming as much of Emancipation, but in the case of this song, it's easy to overlook the drums because the rest of the song is so strong. It's more about the melody than the words with this one, though the feel of the song - attraction mixed with dread - is really interesting to me. I've been saying that this track sits somewhere between "Beautiful Strange" and the stuff from the ONA piano CD - not so much because it has the same style, but more because it's the same mood. I'm all for this song. Love it.

Alright... thanks!

Can someone possibly hook me up with The Dance? I can't bring myself to spend another $10 on the entire CD when that's the only song I don't have. Also, I'm looking for the 13-minute (unedited) version of Copenhagen from C-Note...

TIA!

The ID3 tags from the NPGMC are NEVER consistent or complete. I noticed that in Year One, and it hasn't really changed now . . .

No big deal.

You oughtta just go ahead and download the version of The Chocolate Invasion that's on NPGMC right now - some of the tracks are longer and/or remixed, and the sound quality is leagues better than the first time around.

Is that true for Slaughterhouse too? If so, I will buy them both...

Slaughterhouse has a few minor differences, but nothing worth buying it again. However, the improved sound quality is MOST DEFINITELY worth it....also for C-NOTE...I heard things in there I ain't never heard before!
