Um....hmmm. Not sure if I buy that - what about the line before it, "My voice is getting higher, I ain't never had my nose done"? Michael Jackson said in a recent(ish) interview that he only had ONE nose surgery, and it was due to the fact that (ahem) HIS VOICE WAS GETTING LOWER. So he had the surgery to make his voice higher again. In my opinion, anyone who believes that line ain't about MJ probably believes that Eye Hate U wasn't about Carmen! 
So are we supposed to pretend that Prince wasn't talking about MJ in "Fascination" either?  No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

No, I definitely do NOT think that Prince has ever had a nose job. I do, however think that the line in Life O' The Party about "My nose is getting higher, I ain't never had my nose done" is a playful jab at Michael Jackson, much like the line in Fascination, "Singin' on the telly, makin' more bucks than sense, so-called King gives birth to so-called Prince." And yes, purpledoveuk...Eye Hate U is most definitely about Carmen! LOVE that song. What I would give to inspire such a ... passionate song! No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

I am almost positive that Prince has had some nose work done. It looks completely different then it used to.
It's not a big deal, but if a man is willing to completely redo his teeth (I don't think anyone can argue that) wouldn't it stand to reason that he would be willing to have work done elsewhere? | |

Nah, it's definitely Carmen.
In the extended version he gives it away by saying "You owe me, you owe me - a million eight or more...perhaps we should get you down at the corner store...you know what time it is..body biz." He's talking about how much money it cost to do her album. This was after she "left" him (I don't know who initiated it, but Prince was obviously way into Carmen at the time and there's a quote from a producer who was frequently at Paisley which says that Carmen was just hanging out there for a year, waiting for Prince to call and take her to a nightclub or record some "vocals"). At some point she went to L.A. and took her career into her own hands, which seemingly little man didn't like.
