Members may in future only purchase one ticket!!

New topic on conference room wall at the NPGMUSICCLUB
Should club members be able to purchase more than one ticket when best seats are limited?

It's going to be Xtremely cold in my house if I have a front row seat & my wife is sitting up in the nosebleeds.

Batdance

I'm already having an issue because I have a brother and sister who want to see Prince. That means I need four tickets...not just two...

Of course the tickets can be purchased seperately, but you won't be sitting together...and the other option is to wait for the public sale...when the "nosebleed" seats become available.. neutral

So the fams are saying this is a good idea? I suppose that's because they don't have any friends or boyfriends/girlfriends they want to sit by.

It's all about the allmight dollar for Prince isn't it?

Personally..I'm all for the one ticket limit..that was more members would be able to buy presale tickets. 250 members by 500 tickets as compared to 500 members buying 500 tickets....makes more sense to me.

I say make membership $50 instead of $25. This way we also pay for our guests previledges. Or make it 1 ticket limit.

I think that it was just a question that is being posed in the chatroom as the topic of the day.....personally...I think that it would be a good idea one ticket per member...u want a ticket for your friend have your friend join the club as well...why should someone who doesn't even belong to the club get the seat that another member could have when we all paid out money to join. They can join if they want to sit in the member section.

One ticket per member...I'm all for it.

Yeah, um...the problem with yer brill little plan is that your friend would be sitting by him/herself...oh, I know, we can all make new friends on either side of us!! Wheee!!!

I would not going either. sad

I was in the club yesterday; PP7 mentioned about this then it was posted on the conference room door.

To be truthfull i am rather angry about it all, last night in that chat room was ridicules and people where taking upon themselves to sell this idea to others, the room was flooded if others made comments about the question they where ignored. I don’t understand that, isn’t everyone entitled to there opinion after all if this happens doesn’t it effect a large amount off princes fan base. ( I know some aint gonna be happy cause ive said this, but i don’t give a damn it was a selfish what some where doing, only give a damn about yourselfs not any other individuals you got a problem with me saying this, say it to me direct not behind my back)
People who are in a relationship people with disabilities that need to take along a carer what about prince advertising these concerts to be family friendly, well he is going back on his word with that if you can not guarantee you can sit beside them. (Looks like if this went ahead were going to be penalised for being in any off these categories)

Prince is a married man himself how would he feel if he was told he couldn’t sit beside his wife, when i mentioned this in chat someone said then he wouldn’t go.So if that is the case then we shouldn’t go, the club would lose out on large amount off monies, concert halls would not be filled to capacity, what good is that? confuse

Its not the members fault that they under estimated the tickets for members seating at concerts, the club does pre-sales then sell how many tickets you can then let the box office or agencys sell the rest.

Peace

NPGMC could announce that all the member presale seats have been moved to the farthest back rows available, and there would still be dolly's cheering about it saying "yay! how fun! what a great idea! now I can get to my car faster after the show!..."

I have enough trouble justifying to my woman paying all that money for tickets to see Prince.

Now imagine if I had to say "Oh yeah, and you'll be on your own 40 rows back while I'm upfront with the nutcases!"

that has to be the loopiest idea yet. It's bad enough that you can't even find out where your seats are until the night of the show. Now they want you to not be able to go with someone and sit together?

Prince says bring your family - already the club limit of 2 seats makes that impossible.

Another dumb idea floated by the Club! Like someone said be4-Prince says bring your family but with a two ticket limit, we really can't. First we don't get to have a choice in our seat assignment, and now they would screw us with this one ticket limit...IF it was general seating than that could possibly work but as long as the seat assignments are on that ticket, there's no way in the world I would buy a ticket through the club...And they're full of crap when they say that with plenty of the best seating available this would work...BS!! Tickets sell out too fast 4 members in some cities and also 15th row center is not better than 3rd row left of center...I would love to see the contract between the NPGMC and the promoter because I would bet that theres a clause that allows the promoter to have the bulk of the closest seats to the stage...The Club makes promises to the members that they are not always able to keep...I must give credit to Prince that he does try to "right the wrong" when he sees fans getting screwed by scalpers and such...BUT he is also the spiritual leader and CEO of the NPG and the CEO part needs to take care of his investors as we take care of his financial needs as well...

A 2-ticket limit is totally acceptable, but ONE? No way. This is just an attempt to get more memberships.

NOW, having said that, I do feel that it's perfectly acceptable to limit members to ONE concert. You get ONE choice of concert, and after that you are unable to get tickets through NPGMC (you can always get them through Ticketmaster as general public). Too many people travel and take good seats away from people who live in that area.

Limit members 2 one concert??!!! That's total crap! Why should someone suffer because they traveled to see a show? So what if they already saw one on the current tour? One could say that the further U travel the better seat U should get...I've seen him 2 miles from my door and 2500 miles from my door and later this year that will be 5,000 miles from my door...Each concert is a new show or a unique exp. in itself. The Club needs to secure enough in the member section to allow for all members that are attending be4 U consider the one concert rule...And really, there's only a small handfull (maybe 25 max) who really travel around seeing the shows...That's not enough to get upset over...

Oh, you know katt, it's like with the price of his new music; if you think it's too expensive -with reason- you are simply told not to download/ pay/ listen to it again. Yeah, what kind of sense makes that?! Non sense.

co- nod the two ticket limit needs to stay. cutting it down to one just doesn't make any sense. npg isn't one big family where we all know and are comfortable with each other no matter what anyone says. I would rather be with my friend in the nosebleeds thannext to a scary npg person in the members' section.

now limiting members to one concert is the way to go. what's with these people going to every damn tour date. if you want to do that, fine, but don't be hogging all the member section seats.
