well i have nothing but positve things to say about npgmc and pps. i know theywill take care of my problem. the first week of the dowloads i purchase about 4 albums which totaled 31.08 dollars. i had checked my account a couple day after that and found out i was charged the 31.08 8 times in a row which totaled 240 dollars. I contated support about this and within 24 hours or so they responded by saying they will investigate it. I believe I got another email and said they will check my records and I should be getting a refund with in a week. so its about a week or so and I haven't received anything yet but I know they are working on it. Again I have nothing but positive things to say, if it weren't for these type of problems then future and simple solutions to make things smoother for everybody wouldn't come.So I 'm thankful

I was charged 4 times for the purchase of the Controversy & Bataclan singles (which I bought at the same time), the Chocolate Invasion album, and then I was charged for the Musicology album, which I never purchased at all. I emailed several times, my last reply was on the 31st, saying "they'd check my account and credit it if they found I was charged. I sent proof, asked that the musicology download link be removed from my account, that has happened, but still no money credited back.
I had seriously wanted to make some more purchases, but this has turned me way off. I wouldn't have minded if they would have said ok, let me look (which should be able to be done instantly via their computer showing everyones accounts, and they should also be able to retrieve all charges made to accounts the same way, and immediately issue the refunds.) at your account and take care of it within 24 hours, 48 at the most. Over a week is ridiculous. But again, I'll say, I don't hold any ill will towards the PP's, as they are outsourcing this to another company, but I'd certainly be looking for a company who is more proficient and capable at what they are being paid to do, than tarnishing the club's name and efforts. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Seriously, I saw something on the news this week about how people have been charged two or three times for their credit card purchases, due to some kind of freaky computer glitch or some shit. It's possible that it's not NPGMC's fault, but still, they owe this guy some $$$. | |

However... back to the issue: http://www.prince.org/msg/13/88135 Also, I think a vast majority of people (or at least lots of us) were overcharged. Alarmed by the thread I linked to I checked my account: For downloading the Controversy single I was charged 9 (!) times... well, that's because I tried and tried and finally succeeded. Apparently they're checking each and every download within the timeframe in question and this takes some time. But I'm MORE than happy to have tried a single first before downloading an album... would've been much more expensive when being overcharged. What's been more annoying is the fact that because of my trials my credit card failed at some point. Yet I didn't notice it since the error messages really weren't that clear. So I didn't know about. Some hours later I wanted to pay some ebay item by PayPal... guess what? My credit card was declined. Even after it worked again fine for NPGMC! It took some phone calls to the card support and much sweat to recognize the problem. Since the card was declined because of my repeated trials first - and therefore automatically put on hold at the card company - it afterwards wasn't accepted for another 24 hours by PayPal. This is just my opinion but, no matter what company you're dealing with, if you are overcharged you should inform the company that you've been overcharged and dispute the overcharges with your credit card company.
Much more likely to get a credit to your account alot quicker than waiting for the company's investigation to unravel the mess. | |

That happened to me one time when I was ordering some *ahem "adult"* products. And I had to call my bank and explain the problem to them. Very embarassing.
If you're checking your account online, many banking web sites are slow to update account information, you should try calling them directly if you havent already. | |

Have just mailed them. Not holding my breath on a refund thoe... Money didn't matter last night....but it sure does matter 2day! | |

I just received a refund from them today. Was overcharged $7.77 3 times! They reimbursed them all today, took about 10 days from my purchase, and I only e-mailed them once. Anyone else that was overcharged should keep an eye out. | |

On the 9" April,(the day after I mailed them)I got a full refund of what i was overcharged by NPGMC....so im happy! Money didn't matter last night....but it sure does matter 2day! | |

i believe NPGMC business handlings are going in the right direction. The issues are addressed and resolved. Don't hold the past against them. They've made some huge improvements. BTW, The same happens with any "credit card" transaction that is incorrectly charged. I travel quite often for my job and 5 star hotels debit my card for incidentals whether I have incidentals or not. And if I don't it takes quite awhile for them to credit my account. Sometimes I wonder if people really live in the "real world." These things happen. Look at the Walmart issue..... u & me, we got mad chemisty | |

NPGMC also reversed the 5 transactions they overcharged me with for my one purchase of two singles. So they are reconciling the downloads and creditcard charges. | |

Got my refunds too... hadn't been able to check for within the last few days due to several instances of *4* different viruses on my computer. However, apparently they transferred the refunds right the day I wrote my posting above.

After reading this thread I checked my bank account and they overcharged me 6 times for the Controversy download , but they were all refunded a few days later thankfully ,although I lost 2 whole pence for each time they refunded , should I sue for my 12p you think?
