Non members can buy theater tix now!!

You can just walk up to the theater and buy Prince tix. The public isnt supposed to be able to do that until the 9th! NPGMC exclusive rights didnt work this time

unless the theater sells-out this really means nothing. At least where I'm at, you don't get reserved seats in the theater. So who buys tickets 1st really doesn't matter...

well..the thing that sucks about it....is just the principle of it.....im a member and i cant buy the tickets pre-sale....but a non-member can go and buy them if they wish.....

i agree with you endorphin....that what really is ging to matter is who gets to the theatre first the day of the show.....but still....if npgmc is saying that public sales start the 9th...well...thats not true....anyone can get a ticket right now

which...btw.....is exactly what im going to do...even though im a member...im not chancing not getting a ticket...hoping that the website is going to be fixed.....who knows if thatll ever happen

In all fairness, the exclusive thing worked well on the last tour. I took advantage of it at least 6 times. I was front row to 6 shows and got 2 free aftershows that non members where paying $100 to see. Time and again I saw different venues maintain the NPGMC priviledges and seating area as intended. I was actually surprised.

On this movie theater thing, however, they did blow it.

Movie theaters only hold so many people so it does matter. They are more likely to sell out BEFORE members can get tickets if non members are allowed to start buying tickets immediately

sorry, I was just thinking about Mpls. Since all of 15 people went to see Under The Cherry Moon when it was played in a theater last year and only about 200 went to see Purple Rain, I have serious doubts the 'show' will sell out here. Thus, I'm not worried about 'scalpers' or anything like that. This may be different in other towns, but considering the 'show' starts at 10 PM on a Monday nite (Mpls time) I personally doubt it's gonna be a sell-out.

I will agree, though, I was getting annoyed when I didn't get the email until late Friday nite and when I finally did get it the link didn't work. It finally was up though and I got my tix, so whatevs...

I would not gauge interest in a new live concert against the interest of seeing 20 year old movies that everyone has seen several times and probably owns on video at home.

that is true.

I'm just goin with my gut, and the MPLS fanbase has really dwindled down in the past years. I think he'll sell-out an actual show here. Put to see him perform on a movie screen late on a Monday nite...I just don't see a HUGE crowd in MPLS for that.

Hopefully for P's sake, I'm wrong though!

LaMont, you're such a fucking slimeball I can't stand it. I really hope that the rest of the DC orgers tell this little man what they think of him at the screening....and don't let his ass get a poster, if there are any this time.

Freakin' amazing. It takes one rotten parasite to ruin it for everyone else, doesn't it? Even if this joker is full of shit and just trolling for the sake of getting a rise out of folks, it's just as fucking lame. Whatever, dude. You got your precious attention. Move along now and let the folks sitting at the big-people's table get on with our fun, mmkay?
