Turn it upside down: Prince has used your picture and video of you for concert videos and liner notes without your permission for years.

speaking of which, did he make you folks all sign release forms? Crowd shots he wouldnt need them for, but in some instances of his printed material and videos, he probabbly would have.

Hes been doing his grumpy camera shy star thing for years.

I remember an aftershow back in 92 when i young kid took a picture of him on stage - he pointed the kid out to one of his goons who promptly took the camera off him, ripped the film out and handed the camear back.

Thats one way to shatter a kids illusion that the dick is a hero

My question is why Prince still needs a bodyguard. He sells on average maybe 50,000. records. His shows don't sell out. What is he worried about? I'm in NYC a lot and most actors & musicians take public transportation or walk the streets of NYC without a bodyguard. It just doesn't make sense why he still has one. He is not in the public eye at all & the kids today wouldn't even know who he is. Once in a great while you will see a picture of him at a Basketball game but it's not like the press is following him around. At this point Prince news is not important to the public. A friend of mine's 15 year old sister overheard us speaking about Prince being elected to the Rock Hall of fame & she said "who." He needs to come back down to reality at some point. With the door to door JW thing and this, the only publicity he gets these days is bad publicity.

When you enter into a venue normally you come across a few signs

1: No camera equipment permitted.

2: Camera equipment allowed however audio and visual equipment is not permitted.

3: Camera equipment in use (small print normally states) by entering this venue you are accepting this condition and that you release your rights to any still or moving pictures that maybe taken off yourself.

If you set up a photo or video shoot it is common practise to have people sign release forms, if there is an outside crowed you only need one sign it doesn’t matter how big or small that states that by entering into the restrictive area then you relinquish your rights to any still or moving pictures off yourself.

Its legally binding and common practice these days.

I saw Prince at an afterparty. The club was very small and everyone had a birds eye view of Prince and the NPG. Fans were only 7-10' from him. It was sad cuz they were just standing and looking at him. At one point he picked up his chair, turned it around and faced his back 2 the crowd. It was pathetic how the people were acting. Like he was a monkey in a zoo or something. I felt bad 4 the dude.
His security guard was wrong 4 his actions but how u would feel if u were Prince having 2 deal with people in this manner everyday ur out and about.
Wahtever!

Wow, were you at the Harlow's aftershow in Sacramento? That was the exact situation there, and I felt so weird about how people were acting that I left. I found out later that I missed out on a chance to talk to Prince upstairs, but it was worth it. If I felt uncomfortable watching how people were reacting to Prince, I have no idea what it must be like to be under the constant scrutiny.

For the record though, if the story about the bodyguard taking the camera away is true, Prince is going to be seeing some sad times in court. That's just wrong.

Grow up Bart, so she was always in the media and in your eyes she deserved what she got rolleyes

She got into a car with a drunk driver, didn't wear a seatbelt, drove at dangerous speeds inside city limits, ran into an obstacle and got killed. Paparazzi didn't kill her, STUPIDITY did.

Which was sick. But I betcha those pictures will turn up and will be published and that magazine/newspaper/book will sell shitloads.

whhhoaaahhh there...this is a dumb ass post anyway but it really does need to be said to the "how dare people take his picture" people.

Prince wanted the fame and success in the beginning and Im afraid that peoples taking his picture is part of the job.

Quite frankly he should be glad that anybody still remembers him with the state his career is in at the moment.

I agree that there can be times when it is wrong to take pix...if the guy was taking a dump (for those real enough to believe that he does) and a snapper came in I would say that it was not right but when the little dude is out putting himself about for publicity thats what he should expect.

Who knows what truly happened with this incident we will have to wait until a proper inquest is done, hopefully next year when they officialy open the case the truth will come out.

As all know the driver of vehicle his body was resumed from his grave did not have any alcohol in his body, even with the embalming process this still would have been easily detected. Also with the video footage it showed this man was not off the limit the French authorities stated as he wouldn’t be able to walk the way he did.

Eye witnesses have stated he was not smelling or incapacitated with alcohol, including the two body guards. Most VIP’s do not wear seat belts so there body guards can protect them in a hurry And the body guard has stated in the UK that Diana did have a seat belt on yet Dodi refused.

Yes it is sick at least we agree on something, I for one would not buy these magazines or papers, the UK has put an official ban in the media as some where touted around Europe.
Yet this will not stop prying eyes on the internet. All because of people wish to make monies on a photograph this actually shows how far people will go, they have no morals, Shameful and disgusting.
