I agree with your point. But the person that created this post is trying to cast the lack of activity at NPGMC as some kind of masterful plan from Prince... and it isn't. In reality, NPGMC is a poor excuse for a website.

And while I'm on the subject... I have to laugh to myself a little bit. I distinctly remember when the 2003 NPGMC went on-line, several fans were posting here at the Org saying that they were hopeful about what may come because"even though there's not much there now... there's room for growth throughout the year" etc. with all the closed doors and the like. Well... here we are nearly a year later, and I really don't think there's been any "growth" at all at NPGMC. So anybody that was holding out hope that there would be all kinds of "new and interesting" stuff unveiled as the year progressed were sadly mistaken. I was NOT one of those people, which is why I have to get a little chuckle thinking about how naive some fans have been concerning the club.

I personaly have lost more interest in Prince music. When he does release some new music what will he be making a statement about? What will the music be about? I'm not that interested in the JW thing or the love songs that Prince has released. I'd much rather have some fiction, like "My Medallion" etc, it comes back to the songs, the lyrics? Will they be about the rainbow children! Boring! The music was cool, but the content, didn't feel awakend by it! I'm not knocking his talent, no way, its just if something is really going to be released it will be "The Greatest Romance" instead of something like "My Medallion" or "Supercute", Cool in a way that these songs are underground in a way, Maybe someday he will put out the songs that are like abstract like "ballad of Dorothy Parker" Still would you all expect the next project to be religy or lovey style lyrics?

Actually what Ive found from past experiences is Prince likes to tease.
"Something Big is Coming!"
When he gets ready to release something he will start with the little trickle of info & keep us hanging for as long as posible. Teasing us all the way.
Right now we are just hanging - waiting for some crumb.
He isn't getting a huge ego boost from this because he isn't even caring about the fans right now. We just have to wait. We are of no concern to him right now & he could care less about our impatience.
