Quality DVD.....

Goodmorning 2 all of U...

Everybody is talking about the quality of the Vegas DVD.
There are some things that can make the quality very bad on your dvd.

1: If you life in Europe and you have a NTSC copy from the club you must know that your dvd-player AND tv must be compatible with NTSC. Otherwise the quality is very bad.(I bought the PAL version and the quality is not good but better dan NTSC (they call it by joke "Never Twice Same Colour")

2:After watching the PAL version there were some things that i noticed... The whole concert is recorded on (i guess 5) Sony PD150 DV camera's, these camera's are good for normal recording but not for dynamic concerts like Vegas. These camera's have an autofocus (and the have used it), but it works slow...Each camera recorded on there own tape so to make a dvd like this u have to cut the tapes...(there was not a director who could give directions to the cameramen). During cutting the concert you can see that there are something not right. In the intro were the bandmembers are introduced the picture has been freezed. No problem but when you do not use the "de-interlace"you see that the picture will flickers. (some parts the used de-interlace" but some they dind't.On someparts the used filters to make it dynamic but on some parts the forgott it. This can be done on purpess, but i think (that's my prof. look on it, and personal meaning) when you use it on one part, use it on the whole concert.

3: to place a concert (80 minutes) on a dvd you have to use a DVD6... i guest they have put it on a DVD5 and reduced the bitrate so the quality is lower.

Don't misunderstand me: I love the concert, great performance of each bandmember and ofcourse The man himself. But my professional eye (i'm a director and used to cut movies, concert's) had to say this...)

Again the concert is great and i guess i will play it a lot...

C U...

Its all techno mumbojumbo to me too...but I know where you are coming from.

My copy of teh DVD is fairly poor qulaity (infact teh medium quality downloads are better) and its ahrd to see sometimes because teh stage lighting just makes Princes face appear liek a big spodge and,as mentioned, teh focus is crazy.

But im still loving the gig and, as I discovered after returning my DVD to HMV 3 times, there appears to be changes in quality between the discs - maybe a bad batch???

How many fucking threads have you started talking about great Prince is lately? You would think you would have better things to do with your time. Oh wait, you don't as Prince is your God.

How much time did you spend with this thread? I'm guessing more time then the poster spent with this thread.

http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59882

Or with these all created in the last two weeks:

http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59769
http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59573
http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59972

http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59129
http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59829
http://www.prince.org/msg...&tid=59707

Or the countless threads where you have gushed over how great Prince is and how stupid everyone is who is disatisified with the club or whatever.

This thread is actually quite interesting and you were just being your usually asshole self. I will sit back and wait for your response which I am sure will be something clever about my mother or whatever rolleyes

well, let's see. he has 10 posts, and you have over 700.

so i'm guessing he has more time since you're so busy kissing prince's ass and attacking anyone around her who has anything slightly critical to say about anything prince has ever done.

keep it up lamont, and you'll be banned from the org again.
