Please describe New Version of NpgMc

Hye! Hey, could someone please describe what the new online club has to offer. Please leave your opinion's with another thread because (and I doubt I'm alone) all I need to know is what it has and I'll decide for myself whether to join. I don't mean to sound like a jerk. Thanks for any help.
Right on,

Well let me be the first to tell it like it is.

This year the club started off looking like it was going somewhere new - Huge online 'house' with rooms that all did something different and, for $25, it looked like Prince was going to give something back to the fans.music

Then people quickly started to realise that this probbaly wasnt the case:

Many of the rooms do absoloutely nothing (the garden for example) confuse

The only new song so far has been Reflection...the rest are old Prince songs from previously released cds

The 'U Tell Us' section should have been renamed to 'U Tell Us What We Want To Hear Section'...resulting in many people views being deleted if they werent 100% worshiping. omg

If you bring up an issue in the chat room with other fans/members (such as CDs not being delivered 2 years on) then you are told 'This is not the place to discuss that problem" censored

The worst bitch is that the main selling point was teh new and exclusive merchandise...so far the majority of things are old or more expensive than in teh shops...how many people still havent got NEWS yet even though its now available for less on the highstreet??? pissed

All in all I woudl have to describe this years club as the weakest yet...its just a faker!!! It has all this visual promise with nothing behind it to back it up...I very, Very rarely go there no because theres no point.

And to be honest $25 (plus Credit Card charges and Currency Conversion) is starting to look quite expensive

"Each room of the house offers an ever-changing array of xperiences" = BULLSHIT

In a word: lacking.
My DC Direct wishlist: 1) Bane, 2) Prof Zoom, 3) Superman Blue, 4) Kilowag, 5) Parasite

Anxiety

Just to give ol' pointy ears his due, the club has offered "Alexa de Paris" and the 12" version of "I Would Die 4 U" in the Reflection room - this isn't a big deal to most of us dyed-in-the-wool types, but if I were a newbie or someone with little access to getting these rare gems on CD, I'd be pretty jazzed...but still, those tracks are crumbs compared to what they could be offering. I'm not trying to justify anything here - just making an observation.

Right on,

I second everything above. NPGMC 2003 has been an almost complete waste of money, so far. I'm hoping things will improve in the nexr half of the year, but I doubt it somehow. Kicking their asses over "The Cause" WAS fun though.
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Many? that's one so far. I'll give you that in addition to the garden, the "Arc D' Cyberclips" is redundant and the stairway in the Vs. room is password protected (invitation only?) but that still doesn't add up to "many" of the rooms doing nothing.

Oh yeah there are some video clips in the club. Did anyone mention that? 25$ is not expensive, yet there could always be more.

Ok ...maybe I should have been more specific...there are many rooms that may as well do nothing:

The garden
Vault 1
Vault 2
Vault 3
Vs Room
Club History Room
Musicology Room
Knowledge room

all f thses serve very little purpose...possibly the Knowledge room could be of interest to some people but surely not this long after it was opened.

The only room that have potential are:

Reflection (but thats just old stuff),
The vid room (again a little bit stale now)
The Retail room (if you like your merchandise late/not posted and expensive)
And the chat room (where you are heavily censored and overwhelmed by religious die hard fans who told me I wasnt a true fan because I didnt refer to myself as a Fam!!! ill feeling ill nuts

I see. Seems like these are rooms that you don't personally like. More a matter of tastes, I think, than saying they don't really do anything.

Some poeple obviously like the VS room since people keep submitting poems.
Musicology appeals to others, folks have submitted there own jams.
Knowledge room is interesting to others if you feel like knowing what Prince is into (especially if you read the various essays).
The Vault, well they've always had some form of a discography. This is the latest incarnation.

The garden is just silliness, oh well.

My point is that those particular rooms do have a function, they just don't seem to appeal to you. Which is fine.

Granted, I'm not interested in most of those rooms either,(although some of the musicology jams are pretty nice) but I didn't expect to like every room in the club anyway.
