Wat XACTLY is the point of NPGMC??

This is a little something i posted on the NPGMC bulletin board...

DISmay and DISbelief. What exactly are we getting from NPGMC at the end of the day.

The Prince DVD seems to be available to general public from 19th August 2003 for the PRINCELY sum of $14.99...hmmm isnt that the price from the website.

heres the proof:

http://www.amazon.com/exe...98-6959068

should we buy it from the "official" website?

I get more news about Prince and NPG from other better informed websites which actually give information instead of BEYONCE is looking like TINA TURNER! What???!!!

This website doesnt give us fams anything with regards to NEWS!!

Therefore i ask all the moderators out there...including Prince himself...What xactly is the point to NPGMC membership (other than advanced concert tickets...seeing that no tours are planned whatsoever!!)? You wouldnt even tell us anyway!

Disgruntled FAM - only after i saw that the DVD LV was available to the general public about only severals days after release from the "official" NPGMC!!!

I'm sorry, you sound upset. What's the matter?

The point of the NPGMC is to piss you off.

Exactly - This year there is no point what so ever in NPGMC. I wouldnt even say the gig tickets (if there is going to be a gig) is worth it...last year hey fucked up big time with mine and "lost" my memebrship details as I was trying to buy them - the result = me sat towards teh back of Hammersmith Appolo with a jumped up little prick on stage getting the front rows to sing "Join The Club!!!" at us.

Ive got NEWS for you Mr Prince...I have joined the club since day 1...and Ive never been a member of anything so reluctant to fulfill promises, so sneaky with words/truth or so damn keen to weasel out of things in all my life.

I'll take it a step further...I'm starting to feel like, "What exactly was the point in Prince's music?" Maybe it was inevitable that I would come to my senses at some point anyway, and the club's latest shenanigans just facilitated the process, but I feel like I can finally honestly say that it was all bullshit from the beginning.

I know a lot of people have already posted about how the whole "Uptown" vibe was bullshit from the start, et cetera, but I'm sure I'm not the only fool who actually bought into it.

Anxiety

After last weekend, it's a fucking sausage party over there. Everyone's afraid to do anything but asskiss, and when something is posted that doesn't completely suck the purple cock, you're ignored for fear of reprisal.

Nice community-building there, skipper dog.

I havent got to the stage of "whats teh point in Prince music" yet...although Im sure there will be a point when there has been more drivel released than there has ever been good shit. I guess I must still have some faith because I wouldnt be hoping teh Club would get better...although the recent weaseling out of things over at NPGMC must have really dented my interest because I NEVER go there anymore unless somebody on here says something has changed...and since they have changed diddly-squat in so long they beeter act fast before i put my keys ina little envelope and post them back thru teh door for good.
