N.E.W.S.: The same mix as the Promo-mp3s? For those who have received N.E.W.S.:
I recognized that the four promo-files that were in the club from 19-22 June had a very "flat" mix. I think they were posted in mono!??? That would be a very clever way for copy-protection... Is the sound of the CD more "stereo" than the mp3s?

Is the sound of the CD more "stereo" than the mp3s? Still waiting for my copy, didn't even get my shipping confirmation yet... (Oh, the anxiety! ) But... I'm pretty sure the MP3's are the finished product, so besides the poorer frequency response due to low bitrate and, even more importantly, the fact that they're mono they are identical to the CD... By flat you probably mean that the instruments sound pretty "dry" (i.e. with little effects on them). Personally I think that's great as I'm allergic to reverb..
