Has anyone commented on the low price? When was the last time you bought anew CD elease for $10 new? Where are the haters that always cry about the price of NPG merchandise?

basically what all the losers who kiss Prince's ass all day long refuse to see is that NEWS is nothing more than 4 studio jams. No real investment was made for this record.
Ani di franco sells entire albums for 8 bucks on her website and only charges 1 buck shipping wherever you live.
Prince makes you pay almost 20 in total for some shit he could play in his dreams. evillol

Mine is on the way and for $16.99 with 3-4 day shipping- that's not bad. And listening to the "North" (and earlier "East") samples, I'm impressed.

don't be so naive, there is the $25 you had to drop just for the opportunity to purchase the cd as of yet. unless he offers more cds throughout the year or any other offer that would justify the cost to inhabit the site, that cost has to be included into the cost of the cd.

not to mention the tremendous difference between a new cd that arrives at the store by a popular artist and a new Prince cd. demand sets the price, and ten dollars for a Prince cd is as much as he should charge.

I'm a big fan...I've bought (or burned) everything up to this point. I enjoyed (but didn't love) Xpectation. But I'm official done. I might pick up this new release in the store, but there's no way in hell I'm paying 25 bucks so that I can have first access to purchase an album for 17 buck (with shipping). As someone else said: Ani, Ani, Ani.

The DVD will probably be in retail and the haters like me will have the last laugh as we saved $35 and only missed out on NEWS, which if North is any indication, appears to be a yawner. Besides, are any of you actually going to listen to NEWS more than 3 or 4 times? My guess is that you'll put it back on the shelf and keep listening to Nighttown!nod

Ani, Ani, Ani!

She shows respect. 8$ for entire albums, no fucking 4 instrumental elevator jams. 1$ for shipping, wherever you are.

AND

No fucking 25$ for the oppurtunity to pre-listen and order 4 instrumental elevator jams.

Haters will sit in the back of the gigs and pay for the aftershows while looking dow at members in fromt and cursing just as they did on the One Nite Alone Tour. This is what a the $25 gets you. Alonh with a free mps and video clips.

$10 is a low price...but then when was teh last time you bought a cd and paid nearly 3 times as much in postage and packaging and then teh same again in currency exchange retaes. I have no desire to buy this album until it is on Play.com for something like $5/£3 and postage is free

Most new release Tuesdays. Record companies are making an effort to get people to buy cd's by pricing them low. I bought Monica's cd last week for 9.95

Best Buy, Target and Circut City are great for new commercial releases.

I don't think Prince can do anything about international exchange rates. But, for the rest of us in the united states, is anyone paying more than the $2.00 (or is it $2.50) rate? I chose that one because I can wait a few more days. But, if I thought that I couldn't wait, I would have willingly paid more.

Still enjoying the experience. My record is clean. No problems with the NPGMC.

Postage outside the USA (to the UK anyway) is,according to my order, $9.99

Its better than the Days of Wild deal...cd cost $5,postage cost $15!!!

Not sure why the postage should be any different now though

That is only on a few selected new releases and it is only for a limited time. Most CDs in any store cost much more than $10. You must know that.

International shipping costs money - its that simple. I am in the iductrsy adn the charges are not out of line. If you dont want to pay shipping from the US, move here and save. Otherwise, pay it and stop bitching.
