Prince ate my $0.88 cents! (But really.)

Tonight, I decided to purchase "Breakfast Can Wait" like any good Prince fan. However, when I put in my relevant payment information, I elected *NOT* to make an account with the site, as I was not sure at the time whether or not I wanted to commit to having one on there.

Well, it turns out that decision was a bad one, as I now have *no way* of accessing the song. In order to download the track, I must sign in, and I can't do that without an account, so it appears I'm completely screwed.

It's only $.88 cents, but still...

This is lame! I've got proof via Paypal that I've paid, but it doesn't matter. #frustration

I have a "Receipt for your Payment" email from Paypal themselves...
But that's it. Nothing more.

Additonal Info: Immediately after paying with Paypal, it did redirect me to the 3rdeyegirl webpage with a link to the song, but after clicking it, I was prompted to "Log In" with my non-existant account, so here I am...unfortunately.

I'm not paying him twice. I know it's only 88 cents, but damn it, I'm a man of principal.

I guess I'll just go without hearing it. Or maybe some other artist will get my money next time.

Same problem here.

Only received the Paypal email, no email with download links or anything after that.

I bought 10 hours ago. sad

Maybe we can cancel the Paypal payment somehow?

We *can* file a Paypal dispute, but to do so for an item that is worth less than one US dollar seems pretty silly.

Still, I feel your frustration and I'm tempted just to do it so that I can annoy Prince's webmaster by being an obnoxious asshole. lol razz

I never got an email with a link to downloads. On the final page for acknowledging receipt of payment there was some small link (it's all quite amateur) to click on to take you back to "NPG home", or something like that.

And from there I believe I could now download the tracks I formerly selected for purchase.

It was all unnecessarily confusing, especially given that the text in my browser in several places was the same color as the background, causing me to have to highlight things just to read them. It looked like the web about 15 years ago.

I hope you guys get this straightened out. Hate to see people not get what the paid for.

Perhaps this only applicable if you signed up for an account. Apologies if so.

You are correct.

However, the link you speak of *demands* an account. If you don't have one, you can't download anything.

I had no problems downloading the songs. However, I never received an email either. I even checked my spam folder.

Even though you did not create an account take a look at your invoice ID in your Paypal email. Mine was WC-XXX for example. Then try http://3rdeyegirl.com/my-...er/?order=XXX

Another thing is that it was really late when I got thru and don't recall having the option of setting up an account. Anyways when I access my info it lists my phone # as my user/login name.

Good luck

Hi

I had the same problem. Here's my solution:

After payment has gone thorough there is a small "download file" beneath each song title. You need to click and download each one separately.

Confusingly there is a large bold red text "see your order and download files" which if you press will take you away from this download page and ask for account information which doesnt exist.

Perhaps try going backwards in your internet history to find this page.

The url should look something like this

http://3rdeyegirl.com/checkout/order-received/?order=<nnn>&key=order_<xxxxxxxxxxxxx>&utm_nooverride=1&tx=<xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>&st=Completed&amt=0.88&cc=USD&cm=order_<xxxxxxxxxxxxx>&item_number=

Obviously the information bolded between <> is variable.

Hope that helps comfort

There is no additional email in my junk box.

Also, I have long since exited the page and deleted my internet history. (I use a program called CCleaner on a daily basis.)

The exact same thing happened to me. I've emailed the 3rdeyegirl Gmail account, and gotten a form letter with download tips, but none of them apply because, like you, I didn't make an account. I've reiterated that fact to them, and I'm awaiting a response.

Sigh.

The link to download the files is most likely in your SPAM or JUNK mail folder.

If you buy the songs without creating an account, you get 2 emails. One will be in your inbox and is a receipt for purchase. The other most likely goes to junk or spam (which is annoying) and contains direct links to download the files.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM OR JUNK MAIL FOLDER and see if the files are there.

Then please come back and tell us if that works.

Hope that helps!

yeah, I'm wondering about this account business too. a 3rdEyeGirl.com account?

because I did fill out all the information, before I noticed the paypal payment button at the bottom. but I don't remember it asking me to create a password or anything for a website account.
