I think that this issue deserves it's own thread. I don't want to read what people think of the new songs or the new website, I only want to know why I haven't received what I paid for.

I've read this whole thread and found no useful information so far, except that I may receive an email in a few days.

Thanks. I have read the FAQs and emailed them, but haven't got a response yet.

Since so many people said they got their emails a day or two late, I figured I’d just have to wait. I posted in this thread to ask if there is anything I could have done wrong; and to wonder why something hasn't been done to fix this problem after it was reported by multiple people over a week ago.

Did you sign in with an account? I bought my first songs on prince2013 and "Boyfriend" on 3rdeyegirl only today. I couldn't do anything until I signed up for a new account on 3rdeyegirl. After I did that, I had no problem hitting the "save as" option on the download link that showed up on the account. Probably won't help, but it might. Keep trying...

I know this is a stupid question but did you check your account on 3rdeyegirl to make sure your email was entered correctly?

I just purchased "Boyfriend" without opening an account and it worked just fine...very smooth transaction. I received my "download email" immediately. I know this doesn't help your situation, but if it were down, just letting you know it's working again.

I had the same thing happen. I emailed them and they resent the email. It ended up all being really delayed and by the time I finally got it I received about 5 copies, it all sounds a bit glitchy!

However, I had checked and I've just double-checked, and it is correct.

Just to clarify, I haven't had any problems - I made an account on Day 1 and have always been able to go back into it (not that I've needed to) and I've accessed my downloads directly from the site itself each time without a hitch.

I only posted because a few people have jumped in saying, "wait a few days" and "check your spam folder" and I just wanted to back up those who haven't received an email. As much as all of that advice is very valid (and in some cases will be where the answer lies), I think the email system IS experiencing some inconsistencies and it does seem to be causing some people a bit of grief.

Oh, I see, so since you opened an account (your reply #95), should you even receive a "download link email" from 3rdeyegirl? I opted not to open an account (thankfully, haven't experienced any problems with any of my orders), so I'm not sure how the "account holder" process works. I thought the emails were only sent for "non-account".

However, I went back and read most of the thread and I agree with you, there seems to be sporadic problems with their email system.

I got my "thank you for creating an account" e-mail BUT...I ordered the first 4 songs, twice, paid for them twice and have NOT received the downloads.

I have e-maild 3rd eye girl 4 times now, and have heard NOTHING, not a peep. $7.04 down the drain.

^ check your spam folder. every single time i've orderd a clip, and even though i've specifically told my email it is not spam, it still goes right to the spam folder....

I haven't seen the emails for my last few purchases either, but if you follow the purchase process all the way through you'll end up there, no need to wait for the emails.

yep. no luck.

see what happened was....I ordered, status said pending. so I waited an hour, still said pending. There was a "pay it" button so I clicked it. that brought me to a paypal page that said this transaction was already paid. So I figured, good. must have just been stuck or something so I clicked "back". now my order said canceled. So, I tried again. Again....pending. So this time, I waited till the next day....still, pending. couldn't resist, so I tried "pay it" again....same.damn.thing. canceled. So I figure there's got to be something up with my paypal account...I go, check it, all is good. I decided to switch it to another account just in case though...but now I'm worried about trying again. My bank has 2 payments of 3.52 paid to paypal, and paypal has record of 2 payments of 3.52 paid to NPG records. and I gots no songs!

finally! with my 4th e-mail (and slightly harsh) I get the standard response of did you check your spam and be on a pc....

I just replied with proof of payment (twice) from pay pal.

ugh...let's hope.

3 days later and one more "hey wtf" kinda e-mail and I finally got my damn files! I still paid twice for one set of songs but fuck it! I'm happy!

Don't understand why peeps keep saying they need emails 2 download. U can download the trax on the site.....

There's definitely a middle ground.

I agree to an extent, but emails going astray and other tech mishaps are real and need to be addressed (and quite possibly are).

Simply blaming the end user is no more constructive than blindly blaming Prince.

There needs to be some give and take.

That said, a webmaster who blames the end user is someone who needs a new profession.

You just need to keep listening, keep communicating, keep updating the FAQ, as well as continuously testing and tweaking the site as required.

The 3EG website concept is perfect. The execution needs ongoing work.

I chose to trust that said ongoing work is happening.

feel 3rd Girl has the best customer service of any site 've experienced....The problems this site has had are no different than any other first started site....Kudos 2 4 creating the perfect
