I wrote this on another thread, but here it is again:

$77 would easily buy The Rainbow Children, NEWS, Musicology, 3121, Planet Earth, and LotusFlow3r, as well as the Happy Feet soundtrack and F.U.N.K. download from iTunes.

THAT's what I would recommend someone spend their money on, in full or in part. The website experiment was a complete ripoff.

If i had 77$ to spend today, I'd go for some nice big meal for me and my girlfriend, some 4 or 5 CDs and a good wine.
That would make me a happier guy tonight and a pleased listener for at least 3 weeks.
In comparison, P's site hasn't given me a single day of joy but a lot of frustration and anger. I haven't found anything on the shitty LF site which i could enjoy for more than 2 minutes. Neither the crappy "artwork" nor the even worse videos which i watched once (only because i paid for it and it was the only thing i could get from the site) and then stored them away after downloading. Hell there are approx. 200 DVDs i'd watch rather than any of those crappy clips. Life's too short for me to watch Crimson & Clover one more time in .flv quality. LOL!

And before you ask: I bought hard copies of the albums. Twice.

And before you ask: Yes, of course temporary happiness can be bought. Frustration can, too, though.

Amazing! A decent meal for two, for me would already be 77 dollars or more.

I could hire a bad-ass minivan and take my wife, in-laws and nephews on a day trip to the beach, have awesome seafood and drinks all afternoon and evening for $77. smile

I'll decide in November because that's when I joined. One thing is for sure. If I'm not happy I won't contine to whine like a women with constant pms and menopause wrapped into one. razz

falloff

I don't think it works like that. lol

And...Your point being? Am I whining, am I moaning, do I care?
No. I got what I wanted from the site, the cds, I watched all the videos, got the new tracks, so basically, I got more service in 5 months than what you guys got in a year. Plus with the addition of the free you-tube channel I have everything I need for now. biggrin

I was not all that thrilled with what I got from the website. I figured I would take a gamble on the possibility of extra songs and access to tickets. I actually would have purchased a ticket for the Los Angeles trifecta that went up immediately, but I had to go to a funeral.

Not a great site (I bought the CD's at Target anyway) and kind of a waste of time.

The possible rebilling could have killed fandom for me. I was pretty miffed when I saw the "pending" charge in my account. I was all set to dispute the charge when it cleared at my bank (if it wasn't easy to dispute I was going to get even angrier). Luckily the Lotusflow3r team fixed the issue... I'm certainly thankful for that.

Now I don't have to worry about burning all my Prince CD's in protest. biggrin
