i used to think that he had a falling out with the website people
and they were in some stalemate where prince couldn't access his own site and the website people refused to do anything with it at this point until their demands were being seen to or something like that. but after they added those 3 short live mp3s and that bit of weird news about a film we'd have to go see, i know better. operations still seem to be functioning and their obviousl is no beef between prince and his team. with about 40 days to go until year 1 comes to a close, it could go either way. sure it will be very nice if he does decide to put something more up on there. and please, no more videos, just wav files of NEW and original music. more likely though, imo, they will simply start promoting year 2, with a lower entrance fee for those who are already members. perhaps the current content will be taken off and replaced with a bunch of 'new' (old) videos and another 3 album package much in the same vein as the lotusflower release. i'm thinking 2 new prince albums and the debut album of shelby J. is it what we want or expected? no. but i'll be glad for some new music, at least. if the entrance fee is like 30 dollars or such, i'll probably fork it over, regardless of how shitty year 1 was. still pissed though that the unreleased material that was at some point mentioned, never materialised. it's like the eternal carrot that they keep dangling. so prince knows how bad people want it yet refuses to hand it over. must be because the site as far too few members. but it seems absurd to 'blame' that on the people who did sign up. they're the ones who have stuck around and still support him. it's not our fault that the site has only, what, 50,000 members or something, at best. that's up to him, decent promotion, a clear bussiness plan and not a muddled, weird, obscurely titled website, no webpresence outside of it and a steep sign up fee. besides which he always ends up shooting himself in the foot by releasing his stuff in multiple formats through the web and through retail. formerly, the record labels were the ones to suffer from that, since prince would sign with them and still be online, dishing out product left right and center. these days, we're the ones at the receiving end of his cane, signing up, hanging on and finding the same product at a lot less $ in our local retail stores. it's gonna be interesting, at least, to see what happens with this website. i can't imagine it going on the way it is with this name anyway. who's gonna remember lotusflow3r? should've had prince.com years ago. ah, should have, would have, could have. at the end of the day, i bitch and complain, but i'm also still curious to see what will happen. the way he runs his online shit is atrocious but hey, it's not like he comes into our house and shits on our furniture. i'd love to be strong enough to just refuse to sign up to any of his future ventures, but i know i'm not. i'll get caught up in the drama of it all right at the last minute and sign over my cc details again. only to bitch and moan for another year. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

"i'm rick james bitch fck yo couch darkness" that's when i started thinking relations between prince and that designer might have gone sour. i thought "once again prince has 'forgotten' to pay someone for their work and now this 'artist' is cashing in on his work by selling those prints". sadly though, it seemed a mutual agreement, thus further lowering the value and any authenticity the website might have had to start out with. 'forget about the 10 albums worth of unreleased material that we sorted through, look at these amazing HD watchtower drawings that and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

He can come and do that to my couch in year 2 if he puts up more ticket offers. I know there were some but none for the shows I attended in Montreux and Paris. More tix please and some new music. I'll hand over my money in hopes of these two things. I don't see the video content being developed much more. And I don't think anyone else will get a t-shirt (I did receive mine).

If relations have gone sour he can use our email addresses to deliver music. I think that would be a better idea anyway.
Or an external USB hard-drive with most of the content pre-delivered.
