Buttox Reneges The Club Complaint Finally we get what we were promised and was advertised!
All the whiners moaning about the so called 'whiners' that demanded the full value of their membership can now shove it where the sun don't shine because the club has fulfilled its obligation as it was meant to. The original 'whiners' (and I was one of them) were spot on! Xpectation is the best thing Prince has done in donkeys years. I haven't seen him really experiment musically as masterfully since Graffiti Bridge (Diamonds and Pearls and Symbol had only bits and pieces). Rainbow Children has the awakening of innovation but this bloody thing is the full flowering! It is always so much better when the music does the talking! And the new Version of Empty Room is the best song of his I've heard for many moons. Back in the mid 90s we were all wondering when the next great Prince album was going to come and knock our socks off...it's been a long wait. Ironically, after wanting exclusive music I now wish he'd release both en masse. They really deserve to be heard. And the great thing is that only real music lovers would appreciate it. Not your average MJ or Britney fan... [Buttox stands and claps in fully realised appreciation] [This message was edited Sun Jan 5 9:23:39 PST 2003 by Buttox]

[Buttox stands and claps in fully realised appreciation] If thats the case then you can thank the complainers for putting the pressure on NPGMC to live up to their promises. Because emails to various members from NPGMC as of october and november indicated that there were no further albums or releases planned.

okay..just to play devil's advocate here...isn't it possible the download is just late, rather than a direct response to complaints against the club?
remember a couple months ago when it said on the npgmc site 'xenophobia...coming soon to a monitor near you?' essentially 'xpectation' appears to be the 'xenophobia' album minus the title track... maybe this, like all things prince, is just being delivered to us on paisley park time? okay..you can attack me now...

Oh please stop trying to give you and the other whiners credit for pushing this along. It's clear to me that the NPGMC is on its own schedule and they don't react to every damn complaint you make. So don't flatter yourselves.

So don't flatter yourselves. Can you explain why over an entire album has been made available for download at the last minute when supposedly the club switched to CDs this year? Save your remarks for next year, because those of us who complained arent joining this year and we can give a rats ass when the club rips you off for a third time in a row. If it was planned all along to release xpectation, then it would be at our doorsteps on CD.

Actually I think this is more correct than the "because we complained, we got Xpectations" theory. And I think this mainly just because there was a specific web page created for it, and it being sent at 12:00 am New Years Night. The additional downloands of Empty Room and the other four tracks may be because people complained or a preview for 2003. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Why do you think it's CALLED Xpectation? think about it. Fans expected it and they got it. MJ:mgun: 'nuff said.
