Did Anyone Else Expect A Bit More??

Was the very first person in the door this morning when Target opened there doors to buy Lotusflow3r. When I got to the music section there was a small poster above the new realease section and a VERY small section that was the album. Total I would say maybe about 50 CDs. Guess I was expecting a bit more POP for only being released at Target. No commercials. No posters. No giveaways. And even there is no notes or booklet included in the CD itself. Did anyone else expect a bit more in any way?

Don't feel too bad. I went to my local Target this morning at 9:30 a.m., well after it opened. Not too many people there. No CDs on display. Only one small cardboard display of the album stating "Coming Soon". I had to ask about the album. A sales associate went to the back and got one for me. So I guess I was the first one to get one in my town. Lucky me?!?!????

On the plus side, the CDs kick ass.

Exactly!! Its 2009 and my point is that Prince is obviously trying to majorally promote this new album with his new web site, Billboards, spots on Jay Leno, and a triple threat concert. He is also using Target for the first time so I expected TARGET to maybe do more to promote this. Than again it just might the city in which I live too. Who knows.
