Just thought it would be good to give international fans a place to ask politely/scream loudly to get hard copy CDs released around the world, not just USA. As we all know Target/Amazon won't ship to your country.

I'm very surprised that Amazon will not ship worldwide. This kind of marketing only leaves the doors open for illegal downloading as a fan's only course of action, taking money out of the artists pocket. If files uploaded are FLAC, then quality of downloads is a non-issue. Folks may not need a silver, in this circumstance.

Options for non-US customers to get physical copies may be eBay, trading, friend/fan connections, EIL, import record shops, or maybe LotusFlow3r.com.

As a resident of the US, and a Prince collector I know that oceans are a small hurdle to getting something that you want/need. I've bought many imports, and rarely have I had any issues in getting something from any part of this great big world.

I'm frustrated that we haven't heard an answer yet either, but I think everyone needs to relax a little. There's still 3 weeks until the album comes out: Plenty of time for more details to be revealed. Do you really think they just aren't going to be released elsewhere?

Look at the recent chain-exclusive releases by Springsteen, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, etc. Each of those are only being sold in one store in the US, but they're widely available elsewhere, right? There's no reason to think that won't be the case here. I think the reason we haven't been told is because it interferes with the story surrounding Target's big deal.

Just sit tight. I'm sure we'll all be heading to our local record stores on or around March 29 to pick this set up.

Those chain-exclusive releases were released (at least where I live) by record labels. Not sure he is going to do that again..?

I'm sure he has something sorted for the rest of the world (I hope). It would be bad business of him not to, but he would want to get a move on. Obviously pre-sales will be not an option shortly. There won't be time.

It is frustrating though, isn't it?

When Ultimate Prince was (mistakenly) released early in Australia and nowhere else, I paid £100 for a copy on eBay - only for it to be sold as a budget release in the U.K. some months later.

I'm not paying over the odds again.

If it's commercially unavailable in the U.K. at the time of it's release, I will have no qualms in obtaining FLAC files for free.

The album will be available at some point. No need to worry.

Maybe the CD set will b available in Boots(the chemists/drugstores) in the UK!!! There are Boots sections in Target stores in the USA, cos they have both formed a business partnership, so it could end up being sold over here in Boots!!!!

Look out for it the next time u have 2 go there for some shampoo, bath stuff, or get a prescription filled!!!!!

This is a prince fansite right? I think its lame to suggest or think that the world outside of the USA won't be pissed off when they can't buy the albums on the date of release.

Read all the other threads on the subject, quite a number of international orgers are feeling the frustration. we ALL know we can get it at some point.

If it was the other way around we would have all the USA Orgers bitching. Point is NO-ONE likes being excluded from an important release. And until P tells us otherwise, thats just whats happening.

I think he's gonna do a deal with a Sunday Newspaper .....no newspaper has ever given away a three CD box set .....

Prince would be able to get a deal like this ..... and the newspapers in the UK would be up for it...

I will buy/download every available item.

But I am not happy that the international fanbase seems to be left behind.
I am not happy that no date of release has been given for a physical release outside of the US.

Stop jumping on anyone who says something that you don't like. It doesn't make them a bad person. It doesn't make them 'less correct' than you. It just makes them different.

Prince is in LA big time right now, the US fans are getting the benefit of that, we had 21 nights not too long ago. So fair is fair, I hope all the US fans enjoy their time. But just release the CDS over here P. Don't let us out in the cold.
