Windows?
Single core CPU?
Flash implementation that is not multithreading?

Over here the CPU load is relatively high, but system is still responsive enough.

Yes, making the videos full screen makes them less choppy - probably as the PC doesn't need to work so hard to render all the pointless and heavy Flash.

In this day and age of HD YouTube videos, would it be expecting too much to have videos running smoothly on this site?

As for the Flash, whilst the idea of navigating a funky virtual environment to play music and watch videos is cool, it has to be developed efficiently so that it runs smoothly. My PC is way above the system requirements and everything's so s-l-o-o-o-w-w-w and jerky.

This site is slow, resource heavy, frustrating and not an enjoyable experience. I really enjoyed listening to the songs from the albums, but have I been able to download them? No!

Navigating the site is so frustrating, it's so fiddly and non-intuitive. I would really much prefer a static HTML page with quick links to music and videos.

Accessibility, anyone?

It's the content I'm interested in, not unnecessary and indulgent Flash!
It takes like five minutes just to enter the site... what's that about?!!?

Come on Prince, I thought you'd have learned your lesson from the NPGMC? I remember when it launched it had a bespoke player for music and videos, it soon changed to links to downloadable MP3s and WMV files!

syble

LOTUSFLOW3R.COM - SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 GB of system memory
Adobe Flash 9 or greater
Minimum resolution 768x1024

from the site in your account bit.

the videos are too large and therefore take too long to load which makes them choppy, that problem is theirs not yours. the fact the whole site is flash also makes it take a long time to load, but this probably to prevent theft.

personnally i wish they'd sort the videos out its terrible, i cant sit through it the sound is appalling.
