WHAT IF THERE IS NO PUBLIC RELEASE? NPGMC members:
Wouldn't it be great if there was no public release for ONA Live? He was gonna release One Man Jam back in the summer and it never came out. I don't really like to be negative but I would love it if non-members didn't get it so they could stop rubbing that in our collective faces.

IF you let non members reduce the club membership to simply getting CDs, thats your fault. Non members didnt get to buy Xenophobia tickets or free aftershows or front row seats or the soundchecks or the chance to talk to Prince. I have been to several gigs with my membership and I saw the faces of the player-hating non memberships when we were escorteed past them in line and were sitting in front of the stage when they were finally let in the hall. Dont let them play you - or should I say dont play yourself

It is unfortunate that, yes, I have let members and non-members boil this down to only the CDs. We got people on here writing to the BBB over the music. I also took parts of the membership privileges..I almost had a heart attack when Prince come down in the audience here in Chicago during the soundcheck. I just can't get over the attitudes that some of these people have that they are smarter than me cuz they can go out and get the music without belonging or buy some bootleg.

MzCadillacLady, No one on this org can ever do that. I appreciate both your posts. I put the thread out there because some of the members were upset that this set would not be exclusive...I was trying to give them a bit of hope.

Wrong. There were plenty of Non-members who went to the concerts with the members. Above that, there were plenty of non-members who paid less than the members, and then strong-armed thier way to the front stage and stayed there.
So, for the one of you that had such a great time with the club, there are others that had the same fun without being in the club. You KEEP saying that - you're really proud of that shit, huh? Good NESS...

Is acting like a total asshole something to brag about? Really. So what non-members strong-armed their way to the front. Bully for them. There were also some NPGMC members who strong-armed their way up there. There were also NPGMC members who worked their way to the front of the soundcheck line as well in Chicago. That really pissed me off. What happened to just plain, common decency like you don't push your way to the front and stand in front of people who paid damn good money for their tickets and you don't cut in line?

Did you go back and reread my post? Maybe you should. See the part where I said "eye m a girl". Look at my profile. I am not a girl.
I never bum rushed the stage. That post was an attempt to highlight the fact that many of the hardcore members are willing to let people walk all over them: Prince, Non-members, Everybody. The only time they have a "back-bone" is when they have the anonymity of the Internet backing them up. Not bragging. like i just posted, I was highlighting the actions of others.
Here's the funny thing: people either take our approach "that's just not right," or when this topic by somebody is critisizing the club, they say "well, YOU are letting them run you over!" The comedy really kicks in when the NPGMC posts commentaries overstaing the fact that American are fat lazy slobs who bully thier way all over and the Japanese just sit and behave. So those that agree with me that people who rush are assholes should be able to see my point. Those who say otherwise are directly contradicted by the Music Club. The laughs just keep rolling in. When I was in Saginaw, I was VERY close to just up and lifting this girl, who had barged her way from the back to IN MY SEAT WHILE I WAS STANDING IN FRONT OF THE SEAT, and putting her back in the aisle. The ushers then jumped in and got everybody out of there. This is like this at EVERY Prince concert I've been to. And then I come online and see people praising people who admit "I worked my way to the front and helped myself up." It's just insane. stymie said: Is acting like a total asshole something to brag about? Really. So what non-members strong-armed their way to the front. Bully for them. Wouldn't it be great if there was no public release for ONA Live? Well aren't you all proud of how selfish you can be? As long as you get your copy then lets just deny everyone else the same pleasures. You must see someone very important when you look in the mirror. Lucky you.
