At worst the changes seem to be posted here about 5 seconds after they happen. This is a very good thing. That's exactly what I do. When there's something new about the site posted here, I check it out then I'm done. If there's no news, then I keep it moving. See, it's that simple! I wouldn't fret. March will be THE month, and everyone should be pleasantly surprised when the CD announcement officially drops, you check out the tracklisting, see the new website. I don't think anyone living in the U.S.
will be disappointed at the amount of publicity and effort he's putting into this release. If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

IMHO the longer we wait (the longer Prince/Prince's peeps wait) for the site to launch and the albums to drop, the more likely Prince's interest in the project will wane and there will be no promotion from him and the albums sales/his profile with suffer. We have seen this over and over. I wish u heaven

will be disappointed at the amount of publicity and effort he's putting into this release. BUT, why did he choose to driver reporters around in his car and invite strangers into his home to promote the set in December if March is the month. Why wouldn't he start ball rolling closer to the release date to build a buzz? I am a SUPER fan and I am not as excited about the record now as I was in January. I can't imagine how unaware and unexcited toward the album(s)/website a casual fan (or general music lover) who may have read the L.A. Times article back in Jan may be now that it has been over a month and no "official" word. I wish u heaven

The delay really isn't the reason I'm losing interest. Delays are expected with any project and Prince is not the only artist who is subject to delays. The reason me and many other fans are losing interest is the constant stringing along that is just flat out getting old or maybe I'm getting old. He has changed so much in his career, but this is one thing that has remained the same and it is just played and not effective anymore with his fanbase.
I know many of you guys feel me on this one. He could come out and say that project won't come out until 2010 and I'll be disappointed, but I'll be cool with it because that is the business. But, it drains me everytime he posts another stupid picture on his website or clue or some dude like Funkenberry gives us some riddle to figure out that is usually 50% true in the first place.

I love the fact that we are getting so what looks to be a solid output of Prince material on the 29th. I'm going to love it.
However, it is more like 1.5 albums, not 3. So, now I'm disappointed because I was expecting 3. We are all getting older. We don't like the games.

Your expectations are the problem. If you are losing interest in Lotusflowr before its even released it is because you are so demanding. Prince isn't doing what you want him to do so therefore Prince is dropping the ball. Prince's mistake is he releases info & tidbits in the months before a cd release to get people interested. What he should do is less. He shouldn't have released any songs or portions of songs. He shouldn't have gone on the radio & played those songs ahead of time. At this point we ahould have heard nothing from the cds. He shouldn't launch a website in any form until the day the cds are released. Should have only announced Prince has 3 cds being released exclusively thru Target & they will become available March 29th. Then nothing until the cds are about to be released. He never releases enough info to make people happy so he should just stop jerking people around. & not release any info. Some of his fans are rather high strung & can't handle things too well.

It seems that a lot of Prince fans need medication for their ADHD problem. They would probably kill themselves if they were Stevie Wonder fans.

The buzz has gone for many fans I guess... The only plus is that the majority of people (who do not visit the org) have lost interest in Prince's music years ago, meaning that they were spared all the ridiculous "teasers" and probably will first visit the website when it is fully operative and the "meteor" fianlly has arrived its destination: "a whole new galaxy" It is a pitty that the fans have to watch and observe these amateuristic struggles to start up a website in an interesting way. Prince needs to get rid of his PR people...they are messing up his work..we all know Prince does not do this part of his work he advises and expects the PR Team to carry it out....they are just doing a very bad job... Cut them loose... What PR people? There are none...he has a few contacts in the media and a blogger, I'm afraid that's it darlin'. pray4rain, these teasers are probably his idea of fun. He doesn't have a frame of reference for anything that a typical adult has to be concerned with, like a job with a boss, children, mortgages, car repairs and such. From his perspective he has all the time in the world for hide and seek games, so maybe he doesn't get it that regular grown folks who have other issues and priorities might not have a lot of time for cat and mouse stuff...it's a bit of a disconnect. You may have a point there. I looked at the site once on the night is was due to open, looked around for 15 minutes and went back to sleep. There's plenty of orgers who will happily check the site every day, scrutinize every scrap of paper and report back, saving me the trouble. Somebody will send me an email or an orgnote when there's a real site and not just a place holding page... maybe then I'll check it out. It's not like there would be extensive promo, considering handling that is the job of a record label. I think Prince will go on tour with Bria and will consider that as promo. That's what many artists do these days anyway.
People shouldn't expect huge sales either, something around 300,000 would be already massive considering the circumstances. [Edited 3/8/09 12:47pm] [Edited 3/8/09 12:47pm]
