That took all these weeks? grandpa

You would though that by now, there would be a store with some merchandise and actual cd's and dvd's and shit, a forum (ugh), heaps of streamingmusic you could choose from as backgroundnoise, an anouncementboard, news, some pica's and video's. It's not like they didn't have enough time.

Here's my beef. Just put "coming soon" or some shit on the site. Why January? If the site or music needs time.. for god sakes let the people paying for your career a heads up. I ain't sayin give us the exact date, but don't put lies on your site.

Once again, He never seems to fail at shit like this

He's terribly unprofessional.

Wow! lol!

1-Get it, you want more stuff on the website like most of us.
2-I agree the surreal images on the Tv are quiet weird.
3-The black screen make you more.. unpatience.
4-You wanna buy stuff like most of us (I think).
5-You confuse some people patience with the use of brains.

You don't have to be smart or intelectual to enjoy a expanded website, a website doesn't have to be overelbaorated to have appeal.

Calm down, you will get your fix.

What a false alarm! If I could get to LA at that time, $77 expense is affordable this month, or I could be sitting in front of computer on time, such everyday people matters are nothing to regard for you? What kind of lessons do you get from your God? Too small? No, you don't think like that. So, what about an apology? When the Empire Ballroom show had to be cut without encore, 7/7/07 show had to be ended in the middle, you just promised another time. What about this time? Does your God forbid you to do that? I don't believe you would lose anything even if you did. On the contrary, you would get much more. But..., yeah, I may be saying too much... What do you think really?

Well, I'm afraid it looks like I'm one in a million here who disagree:

God knows if I want my new music from Prince like the rest of us, me too I've been glued to my screen [this one and LotusFlow3r's] all this time in search of news/updates/new music, etc.

But I don't think that Prince [as any artist] owes us anything. He doesn't have a contract with us to produce certain things at certain times. The only deadlines he has as an artist are his own.

I think it's up to us to be mature enough not to take everything we see online/in the media/entertainment business too literally and too seriously - just like life:)

Take your time, Prince, there's nothing worse than a creative/artistic job rushed.

Believe it or not I actualy don't want a fix. I want him to live up to his "promise" and I want him to be more fanfriendly. A little more consideration, that's all. But even that is too much to ask.

I allready have all the "fixes" I need, and everything from the last 4 years are almost untouched and unheard by me, because it generaly lacks quality.

If you are anouncing to open a site, using words like "a new universe" etc, it would be prudent if there is actualy some content when you do open. Or simple wait longer untill your ready. But don't hype shit, that is not worth hyping.

Well... this is it. So it's almost nothing. And why do i feel a litlle dissapointed? Because there was a teaser all month and now there's another teaser. Disco Jellyfish is terrible. I mean ...gee... this is real simplistic not even funkin' music. And i can tell u i'm in to anything. Anything!! But this is a demo of a eighteen-year old kid who just found out that he can press a few buttons on his computer and discovers that 'it sounds nice'. Even the guitar in it is from the level of this popular Wii Guitar hero. I mean..electro-funk? Man, do your homework!
Anyway, i'm still looking forward for some new tunes and downloads etc but it is really a letdown. The website is pathetic and i can't imagine that our man is proud about it. It's a tool to sell something, but it is as old-fashioned (in a bad way that is) as my grandma (and she passed away long time ago).

See what monday brings us.

We, those who support him all the time with bying his CD´s and

He rather show it to the press first. It´s alright to do some serious
business and get some press about this new site, but please not that way!
U cannot just write January 2009 on it and then come up with crap like this.
Like Serpan99 said, the site was even better before...

I dunno how long we have to wait now untill something new happens,
but by seeing the result after waiting 1 month to get a site update like this,
i don´t really care that much in the future anymore because i am sick of

falloff

The plan since the beginning has been to show the work to the press today

how nice to let us know, after we've been hyping ourselves into a frenzy for
a month. and why? because there was no official information. it would've been
easy enough to state this from the beginning would it not?

i'm so glad i didn't wait around last night to see what was going to happen.

to add insult to injury funkenberry tells you guys that prince will be having
the press and assorted shallow socialites over at his house for an hour long
concert and an exclusive stroll through of his new website and music.

eek

putting up yet another track [disco jellyfish] is damage control imo because
finally someone in prince's camp might have thought about the shitload of us
waiting for the site to open up in january, because, you know, that's what a
person might presume reading "a new galaxy january 2009", lol.

it's npgmc all over again. release something at the last minute, or even some
minutes after the deadline. like an after thought, not like an exclusive but
more as a means of saying "here, now shut the fuck up".

none of this would matter one iota if there would be a simple press release,
or even a few lines on his site to clearly state what the plan was. it's not
rocket science for crying out loud. it's webdesign and releasedates.

"disco jellyfish" is nice. it's probably the same idea as the npg maxi single
where "the lubricated lady" segues out of "get off", like an external portion
stretching the song. more recent example would be "stt" / "brand new orleans"

but now we've heard

crimson and clover
4ever
colonized mind
wall of berlin
another like me
chocolate box
disco jellyfish
here i come
all this love
another boy

i think the longer we have to wait and the more snippets we hear the less
exciting any release is going to be. if this shit drags on for another 2
months we'll have heard 20 songs. out of a possible 30-36. lotusflower or
mplsound might be incredible albums and all but if you already know 50%
of it that kind of takes away from the experience of listening to it for
the first time.

i guess the only people being genuinely surprised by his new music and his
new webdesign are the press and boozy celebrities that he invites over to
his house. they're just showing up, caring or not caring, for the ride and
whatever comes their way is new to them and thrill of the moment.

fans however get to die of thirst by a dripping faucet lol drip....drip
.....drip.....
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I adore my man from Minneapolis. I do so since 1980. I'm always anxious tyo hear new music from him. And it will probably never dissapear. But i'm a critical believer. What i hear (and see) today i don't like. Colonized Mind is one of the greatest tunes that i heard i a long time. But it was there for already a month. Disco Jellyfish is really terrible. I'm responding to that and the update. Istill think thta is a letdown.

"See what monday brings us." Another loser! You whine, bitch, and complain, yet you want to see what Monday brings us. Why? It's obvious you aren't going to like Prince's music anyway -- no matter what he creates or releases. Why not spend your time/discover some other "artist's" site, and masturbate to the music over there? Seriously, how many negative, unappreciative, negative fucks are there on Prince.org? Why do these fuckers even waste their energy trying to be fan, or post on this site? Get a fuckin life, losers!!!!! eek
