You can try and force any number of Hindu or Buddhist allusions into this piece until the cows come home, no pun intended, but the only thing you'll be doing is trying to fit a slapdash Photoshop 101 image into something deeper than a pothole. Prince isn't exploring world religions or its symbols. He's an admitted member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, end of spiritual discussion. Actually, given Prince's propensity for symbols and symbolic meaning, as evidenced by his lyrical content, other album covers, et al,, looking at the symbology of the graphics makes much more sense than to totally dismiss it as "slapdash Photoshop 101 image". But take from it what you will. Your choice: just as it is my, or others, choice to choose to enjoy the artwork, the music, and any meaning we see in it.

Actually, I'm still wondering about the membership I had (and payed for) in the old days.
We could get access to music and pre-sale tickets ... Will they make our memberships valid again you think ? Chatou

We could get access to music and pre-sale tickets ... Will they make our memberships valid again you think ? That's a good question. When 3121.com was up, they let us know that our usernames and passwords from NPGMC were valid for the site for tickets for shows like the O2 so I could see them doing the same thing again. With that said, we don't know how it's being run so we may have to start over from scratch. Oh I forgot to say, it was free with 3121.com. This might be totally different. The site's not even finished yet, genius. The record company has no say in what an artist's website looks like. If they did, they'd all look alike. Don't EVER take up graphic design, ok?

I agree, and it looks totally awesome when you see it full screen on a mac.. Hopefully it will have a message board so certain org members can fuck off over there with their religious and spiritual diatribes.. Although I think Prince realised just how fuckin' coocoo some of his fanbase were on the NPGMC message boards and was just glad to get shot of them! Some people are like Slinkies...
They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

There was a time when his music AND his album covers were both awesome, no we get cheesy music and artwork. And people wonder why his new music doesn’t get radio airplay. The website so far is laughably gaudy. I hope the albums are good, i really do but “Forever”, and “Never Be Another Like Me” are the same ol’ stale cheese he’s been serving to starving fams since 1990 [Edited 1/4/09 17:00pm] ----- And people wonder why his new music doesn’t get radio airplay He does not get radio airplay because he is over 50 years old. If your going to be negative at least know what you are talking about. If P ‘s new music is cheese what is the rest of the crap on the radio. [Edited 1/5/09 11:53am]

[Edited 1/5/09 11:53am] No disrespect, but who listens to the radio anymore? Much of the younger and older crowd, listen to music on their mp3 players, cell phones, itunes, music stations on cable, on internet stations these days. The only time I listen to the radio is when I'm in a car or if I'm in a store shopping and they have music playing there. There always seem to be a Prince song though playing on the radio when I go into quite a few stores in NYC, whether it's a supermarket, shoe store, department store, boutique. So to be honest, whether they are playing one of his classics, the thing is, there are radio stations that keep his music alive, I guess that is just one out of many reasons why Prince continues to survive in this business much longer than others, even if there are stations that don't play his current music as much as we would like to hear it. On top of that 98.7Kissfm in NYC, and Power 105(106? sorry can't remember which number it is), WKTU out on Long Island, always play his music. As a matter of fact Keisha, one of the radio personalities at 98.7Kiss FM in NYC always plays 1 or 2 of his songs during her show sometime during the week.. I remember my co-worker and I, when we used to listen to her radio in the office, before we moved to a different location, and we sent her an email requesting to play his songs, and many times, she would play a full hour straight of Prince music, (well, the clean songs anyway ). I do remember 98.7 kiss fm in NYC played "Call My Name" like it was the Prince National Anthem for 2 years straight, without missing a day, at least 2 to 3 times between 9am - 2pm, when the song first came out, but other than that, their station played some of Prince's songs quite a few times, during their program. You would hear a Prince song at any given hour, like "Adore" or "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore" These stations are also available on the internet as well. [Edited 1/5/09 13:34pm]

and its not about being negative, yes everybody here is gushing and a couple of us see things a wee diffrent,I am a big fan, I happen to agree he is still a great performer, but i also agree with ALL the music critics, and most of the music buying public when it comes to his new music.
