Eye was going 2 join the NPGMC club a while ago. But why should eye pay $100 a year when eye can download them from other web sites. Also some CD's R going 2 B sold in the shops. Where is the Prince that wanted 2 give his music 2 his fans 4 free? Eye only see that Prince is making money out of people. What about the poor people that like Prince but do not have the internet? What can they do if, U can only download his music.

Bring back the old days. yeah i agree does't anyone notice that the whole thing is very expensive with no way for poor fans to participate with a lower option. i think i've heard stories of fans paying up to $400 for all the great stuff that they offer. what do most die-hards pay for the albums, merchandise, concerts and the celebration all together? | |

what has gotten in2 u? talk about being ungrateful!
I guess u just couldn´t accept that they made changes, and decided not to give away all the music almost 4 free?!? During the 1st. year we got to download around 13 hours of music and fun...don´t u think it´s asking 2 much keeping it that way? This year, it´s true we have only recieved 1 cd SO FAR, but we got the chance 2 buy concerttix before everyone else, and 4 only 2 usdollars more than the public. We got 2 join in on his soundcheck...his private session...being able 2 see him in a private relaxed state, joking with us and his bandmembers. We got 2 sit on 1st. row during the concert also, and got in2 the afterparty 4 free, where others had 2 buy tix 4 about 60 usdollars each. In my country cd´s cost about 22-24 usdollars, so as 4 now I have paid 200 usdollars ( 2 years of membership)and recieved 13 hours of downloaded music (LEGAL that is...and NOT stealing from the artists!), recieved a cd, waiting 4 the other 3, enjoyed 6 hours in the company of Prince and his marvellous musicians (= 1½ hours soundcheck, 3 hours concert and 1½ hours afterparty) and acces 2 a great homepage...I think it´s worth the money, don´t u? No. I'd say we all expect the club to actually improve as it gets older, not go from 13 hours of music to ummm... nothing (yet). And grow some balls man! You sound like you would be happy if the NPG came round and kicked you in the head! I know u people worthless scum give no heart but wrath of insults a brain-driven wave of destruction your bite is worse than your vocabulary. Shame on you all of you. Go feed your pigs coward. | |

Love4oneanother Ant1 You're shopping in the wrong place if you're paying 25$ . especially one from a washed up 80s pop star with no major label or commercial demand. Saxjedi: I think the club HAS improoved, and I´m confident the last 3 cd´s will actually be send 2 us. And reading u´r "lovely" words, I guess someone here needs 2 grow up. Savannah: U´re a lucky person - guess all countries r´nt the same eih? I get my money´s worth - I´m sorry u don´t. A washed up 80s popstar? guess u haven´t heard his music over the last couple of years. I joined the club 2 b closer 2 the music and the news, and not 2 get a free ride on someoneelses expence. If u r members, I suggest u leave the club 2 people who actually appreciates the efforts that r put in2 this, and 2 people who actually likes that kind of music - what on earth r u doing on a web site 4 fams? It seems 2 me u´r not fams at all. | |

well, this conversation is exactly why i avoid conversations about the npgmc most of the time... i don't think that the club is all bad...
i did enjoy the soundcheck, i liked my close seats at the concert, i like the one nite alone cd, and although i was/will be unable to participate in either: the celebration is a cool thing and so is setting aside npgmc seats for tonight show with leno... however, i don't feel like i've gotten my $100 worth... i got no friggin discount on those tickets whatsoever... i like the fact that i didn't have to buy them from ticketmaster, but in all honesty, the process was much more of a pain in the ass... i've only got one cd... the occasional downloads have been virtually non-existant: i got one of them last year and the only one new is not a full track... i get more information about the boxset i'm supposed to be getting from places like billboard and rolling stone than i am from the friggin music club (who never actually sent an email to us telling us any of that shit... they did eventually post what billboard and rolling stone had posted after the other places had already done so)... i enjoy the npgmc, but one of 2 things is going to have to happen... if they're going to run it like this again next year, the price had better come down... however, if the keep the price the same, they need to make us feel like we're getting what we're paying for...
