AS Members of npgmc....we are getting ripped off.

consider this:

NPGMC membership:$100
Tickets for the first 15 rows at the concert: $125

Member gets: 4cd's plus free admission the after party's

Total: $225

Joe Q. Public can Purchase a seat in the 16th row for $125
Pay $10 for after party entrance fee.
pay $50 for ona live cd

Total: $185

the differnce? the member gets one night alone piano music (which half of the songs were included in year 1's membership for $100) is it worth the extra $40??? expensive cd!!

this is my opinion...Prince better offer his members more next year!

I really think he'll throw in something extra, maybe a major download or something at the end of the year.. i doubt it will be another shipment.

Lets hope it will be music.

At this point I think he knows he doesn't have much of a choice if he wants to stay in business. Nobody enjoys feeling ripped off.

Bart/Lisa to Krusty after his comeback show:

"thats ok, we get the profits off of the t-shirt sales"

Krusty: "WHY YOU!! THATS THE SWEETEST PLUM!!"

I wonder how aware he is of disgruntled NPGMC members. Who knows if he is aware of the complaints that are coming in to NPGMC. He may be going around thinking how lucky NPGMC members are because we will be getting the box set before it hits the stores. Have people voiced their complaints to him at any of the soundchecks?
I think I prefer to think he is unaware & that helps explain the lack of focus with NPGMC.

1) HOW can he POSSIBLY have a "next year"WITHOUT adressing the complaints?

2) Are you just gonna get an e-mail offering "another x-citing year" of music , with "x-tras"? How can you BLINDLY re-up without CONCRETE details?

3)I waited until summer to get a FEEL if NPGMC was worth it or if there were signs of DISASTER.Folks, it's a DISASTER:

- many of you talk of a Christmas goodie or extras at this point but you'll be lucky if you doon't see ONA LIVE isn shops before your mailboxes.

ANYWAY, when you invest in something you should recieve it in a timely manner and recieve any bonus afterward, not less than 40 days before an unfufilled membership expires. I do NOT think the stress and effort that you put into the disappointment of NPGMC can be fully cured by an extra disc now.

Then its clear some people don't want to get ripped off in order to go to the Celebration. Some people who paid a fortune to go to the Celebration don't really care the outcome of the poor delivery, poor service, poor website.

Whats funny is the whole concept of having actual CDs or paying for music when its out there for free. Lets face it, people who really and I mean REALLY love music alot won't even wait for the record store to open the next morning. You turn on your PC and Bang its yours to enjoy.

But to go and buy a CD.. its a bit like anique or collectable shopping nowadays. Its a thing of the past. Couple days ago I walked into Tower with a co-worker who went in there with the energy of someone getting ready to start charging up a storm. She eagerly browsed around looking for what she could have her little sister download. wink

CDs. Hmm.. Everyone likes to have that rack on the wall filled with music that guests can select and enjoy in your entertainment room.

Lets look what the 16 holder has in there..

Eminem
Prodigy
Metallica
Victor Wooten
The Cranberries
TLC
Andreas Vollenweider
Propellerheads
Prince
George Michael
Destinys Child
Suzzane Vega
Sheila E
Fat Boy Slim
Grease Soundtrack
Joni Mitchell

The physical CD is becoming so outdated. its like the old 8trax/LPs and Cassettes but this time instead of having a collection of burnt CDs with magic marker titles scribbled on them you command the music from your PC. So my guest library on the wall is a bit of an aging dinosaur.

last year we had alot off downloads (but not all were great songs).
it was not a very good club year 4 some off u.but u no he's very busy touring all over the world and he's fighting back after 7 years .he's get the respect again he deserves.
maybe we will get the other c.d's next year.
you are all spoiled u know that.maybe u find it better 2 wait 5 years 2 get new stuff (like with other artists)

eye have been mad at prince this year because the 100$ ticket 4 nightown aftershow.
but all off u are whinning here .but when u have the chance 2 say it in his face at the soundsheck u are all very afraid.
so stop complaining and enjoy the ona set .

The live shows have fabulous sound and are flying around all over the net.. especially the celebration.

I love Live shows..
I must have listened to 300 different shows..
Each one is special/magical.

The very first one I found was Boston 1986 of poor CD quality and every time I hear it, the wonderful memories come back.

But Prince has changed now, he's a bit of a broken record stuck in a temporary religious fanatic phase. Do I really want a collectable 3 CD set if he's going to change the lyrics of some beloved songs or babble/share his (pain, weakness) search for what he defines as the truth? Nyah..

Mmm. maybe. Nyah.. Mmm maybe.. mmm.. ah what the hell, i'd probably just blow it all on beer and nudie magazines anyway. wink wink
