Picasso Example as an NPGMusicClub perspective... I read this Picasso story and thought of the value of ones skills and talents. It's really a good story to refer to when quoting people for freelance work, setting a salary in a job interview, etc.
Here it goes: A Picasso Story There is an old story about the great artist Pablo Picasso who was sitting in a cafe one afternoon in Paris when he was apporached by an American tourist. The woman asked Picasso if he could make a small drawing for her. "I'd be so grateful," the woman said. "And I would pay you, of course." Picasso accepted the piece of paper the woman handed him and then with that extreme concentration that was so characteristic of him, proceeded to create a small drawing. When he was finished, he handed it to the woman. "Oh, Mr. Picasso, that's beautiful. It's so beautiful," she said. "What do I owe you?" Picasso smiled and said, "That will be $30,000 madam." The woman was shocked. "Thirty thousand dollars," she said. "But it only took you a minute!" "Madam, you're not paying me for the minute it took me to do the drawing," Picasso replied. You're paying for the 40 years it took me to be able to make such a drawing in a minute." ~~ Moral of the story, screw the people who have no idea what goes into developing your skills and want to underpay you for your talents! Prince, you're not off the hook though...

No, Prince is definitely not off the hook. He already said his price was $100 back in February, and that was before he started drawing his little picture for us... Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Of the few stories i know about the late Picasso, he shares quite a few similarities with PRN. Good or bad, wasn't like we didn't know he was like from the start right?

What's so dicckhead about Picasso? my emphasis was really on the 'pompous' bit. The 'dick-head' bit was just a shortfall in my vocabulary.
