I hope folks realize that whether or not your needs are addressed by the NPGMC should not concern WHERE YOU LIVE. That is the only thing that is really sad. Lucky for those who lived near a concert location, or were able to attend the Celebration...but for others?

It is a legitimate concern that those people have received 1 CD (the ONLY official release to listen to all year) to show for their membership. For $100, that just isn't right.

Is the NPGMC gonna switch their membership costs to accommodate folks who are never gonna see the light of day within a concert or aftershow? Should they at the very least mention this as a condition - like providing joining members the option to cancel if no concert passes their way, and there hasn't been any CDs in the mail?

The answer? Release some music throughout the year (is this not OBVIOUS?) - why do some consider that whining? It is NOT whining, but a legitimate concern addressed within this forum - expressing frustration and amazement that the club seemingly could care less is a reaction to a lack of action...

I've read a lot of the past submissions, and I have to say - it's not been a good set-up within the bounds of fairness. The year is coming to an end, and yes, everyone's gonna be excited about receiving some music...it's just not nice to do these things to your club members, it just isn't.

Add to this the fact that Danish club members received a bonus mp3 download that nobody else was given access to.

Plus others getting it before members do? Like ONA live being in the hands of "Joe Kelley's Upper Room"?

You nailed it, Lavish! That summarizes a lot of people's concerns. Luckily, I was able to see him in concert in Kansas City (I did have to drive 5 hours). The people who can't see him in concert have legitimate concerns. They simply joined for the cds. I respect their anger and confusion.

Didn't you realise this up front? When I joined I joined solely on the promise of 4 CD's. Anything more I considered a bonus. So I got a tour so 2 soundchecks were the bonus. Oh and trying to get through a very slow NPGMC server to order.

I had some discussions with someone over at the npgmc about this in January of this year. I asked them why didn't separate the club into 2 parts: one for the cd's and one for the concerts. This way people are not forced to join the club with the live "oppurtunities" when they only want the cd's or vice versa. the people who have trouble going to live shows (whether that is a concert, aftershow or the cely) can make a conscious decision on whether to join for both parts of the club or just for the cd's.

Look at what this year has brought and realise how much trouble the folks at npgmc have been exposed to or have been responisble for themselves.

The ultimate "excuse" for all this? ... "it's up 2 Prince 2 decide"...

I emailed NPGMC to ask about this and I was told they were 'simply trying something out', and would email if the download went back up again.
