Well, there are two parts to this:

The membership is supposed to entail 4 CDs. You can (theoreticly) get all 4 CDs in the 10month span.

The other item is membership access to the retail section of newfunk, and concert perks, etc.

Are the "perks" a given? This would point to NO. Just a bonus. A bonus not able to be taken advantage of by every member.

More than likely it will end in December.. thats when we will probably get the 3cd live set, and maybe a bonus cd..
that fufills our contract with short stack.. he has nothing left 4 us in Jan and Feb... thats probably time 4 him and his customer service crew to figure out a way 2 get us all back in2 npgmc...

well, since it's not on a monthly basis downloads, I don't think it really matters, unless he's performing during Dec 31 to Feb, which means you won't be able to buy premium tickets.

I joined May of this year for the first time. I actually e-mailed that question to the npgmc and response was December 2002. Hope that clears it up!

@ the end of 2002 the Membership Ends

Well when I renewed in February I was told one year... but hey like they are a precise organisation that have made the Prince experience more enjoyable...
In the end we r at their mercy... they make the rules and then break them...
So they have 2 months left ... And then what... ? Another £70 / $100 for a similar debacle... Ironic that I am trying to sell some of my Prince collection cuz I am skint... I probably wont b able to afford next years membership...

well it doesnt matte does it - they promised 4 cds this year so,if they get them out my December 31st theyve completed the club...only if it were still downloads would it be a problem finishing b4 Feb

I'm pretty sure that they said from the time that they were taking renewals / signups for this year's membership that it was "for 2002" and not "for 1 year" It's been clear to me, since the time I signed up, that membership expired at the end of 2002.
We have three CDs (except for the tour book, they never said or implied ALBUMS) coming in the next two months.

Sorry, I can't say that I ever got any emails mentioning particular albums titles as coming my way. Perhaps, though, I've just become adept at understanding communications from Paisley Park...a title means nothing until it's spinning in my player.
All I know for sure is that I've always expected 4 CDs from my membership. I have 1 and there are two months left in the year.

Just wanted to say, there seems to STILL be confusion regarding the club expiration date.

The way I see it...we should all get our 3 CDs at the latest - postmarked by December 31, 2002. That is less than 2 months to wait!

who cares ?? the length does not count... the number of CDs does.
