I have zero interaction with you there so I have no idea how you came to that conclusion. i've seen so many people complaining here and on housequake cause they got banned and it's the moderators fault, it's the "clique's" fault...everyone but thier own. many would agree that there are some members who act a fool on that site...just not them. i can think of one memeber who is permanently banned for, among other things, saying that another member who is black should be tied to the back of a truck and drug around. now if you ask him, it wasn't that bad cause he only said it once and it's the "clique's" fault because they did not accept him. i can think of a dozen others who do nothing but follow the "clique" around, complaining about how bad they are and they should stop picking on people. but these are the same people who will not stop trying to engage them, even when requested to do so, and threw a fit when the ignore feature was added and the "clique" ignored them so there would be no interaction.
it's easy to say "it's not my fault, it's the "clique's" fault cause they're just mean". but the fact is there are many people on that site who act a fool and then act like a dumbass when they get joked for it. i know some of those people run over here and complain about it. but in the majority of the cases, the one complaining need do nothing more than look in the mirror to discover what the problem really is. if you act a fool, someone is going to call you a fool. know this and stop acting offended when it happens. and calling someone a fool IS NOT as bad as actually being a fool, no matter what someone says.

but the Mods there openly ignore rules and arbitrarily apply guidlines when it comes 2 posting and delete the livin hell out of posts that do not fit the intended mold of the site. ie no questioning components of the WRITTEN history of the religion - not the beliefs or faith- the facts. no other single group gets that level of protection. a thread about the insulting Muslim cartoons was posted and is still up I beleive. similar posts/threads about the Catholic church are still currently up on the boards
but no such thread about JWs would last 5 minutes.

as 4 that religion's methods (which is a different thread) I have friends and family n it currently, n some who have either asked 2 b or been involuntarily disenfellowshiped (sp?)

When I made the comment about hateful shit, I wasn't speaking about you, per say, as I was speaking about the author of the thread and I've gotten some of that hateful stuff in a private Orgnote.

I do not dig the moderation of the site for the most part but the moderation of this site is no better to me. It's one extreme there and the polar opposite here.

I actually started to come back and edit my reply to your post yesterday because you are entitled to your opinion and I don't have to agree with it, which I don't.

I do wish that this site would go back to not letting these types of threads exist in the first place.

as far as the whole disfellowshipping thing...nobody is forced to be a jw. and you can't be disfellowshipped unless you are a baptized jw, which means 1) you have to be of an age to be able to make that decision and 2) baptism is not something they take lightly and the elders make a point out of discussing with the person if it's something they truely want to do and what being baptised entails. that in mind, i'm sick and tired of hearing full grown adults who willingly make the decision to do something and then whine and cry when they later decide to not abide by that decision and aren't allowed to do whatever they want. there are rules for any group, and reprocussions for breaking those rules. sure, it's much easier to give a little money and say a couple hail mary's when you break a rule, but nobody who is baptised as a jw doesn't know if they don't abide by the rules of the jw religion they will be disfellowshipped. and no one is disfellowshipped for one count of indiscretion, they get disfellowshipped when they continue to break the rules even after being counselled by the elders. so these people need to stop whining and crying and start taking accountability for thier actions.
as far as the moderation...as i said in the previous post, yes the moderation there is a joke. they are hypocritical. they apply rules arbitrarily. they ban members for doing things that aren't really against any posted rules, so then they create new rules at random. they say something in thier defense and then when they realize how stupid what they said is or see what they said makes them bigger hypocrites, they delete it. hey, you're preaching to the choir dude. i'm currently banned there for the 4th or 5th time for bringing these points up to the mods. but i have no fear of my posts being deleted or me being banned and the people I call my friends over there...many of who get called "the clique"...also do not have any fear of the moderation.
