The Mod-Gods at The Club

That site has turned me off as a Prince fan. The Mods r totally out of hand. Some have spoken with P on the phone and therefore believe they r above you. I worked with and around the Guy, and 4 kicks figured I would check out His site, the only thing not 4 sale is the forum, and if you r not in thier clique, u r treated like an outcast.

I now understand fully why Prince has some strange little habits---because of the zealot nut -jobs on that site lurk around His house & studio & freak Him out!!!And no I'm not banned. But as a site, the set -up & design R top notch. I know one thing, the Mods on that site have cut me off mid-sentance 4 what reason I have know idea, they read your post as u type and if you aren't kissing ass off u go. from the other threads Iv'e read I'm not alone on this. Here's how I look at this situation:

If U hada site where people wanted to hang on and u had the capability to deter negativity towards yourself...wouldnt it be easier to not have to deal with comments u have no use for?

Me, I dont care about people and their negative shit, it makes it that much easier for me to ignore them. And I know who's who.

I gather Prince doesnt even want to know who's a piece of shit. He wants to flush without looking.

I agree that there can be a lot of hostility there-it is not the inclusive environment that we have here. sad

This is NOT an inclusive environment. I really think we all need to stop pretending there's some sort of Prince website utopia around. There ain't. No site is better than the others.

I've been a member of the club since the beginning and I have posted to the boards since three years ago this week when they opened. I do not agree with you and I do not believe for two seconds that the mods have the power to cut you off mid-post. confused Many of the folks that post to the boards there are members here and ex-members of this community. RD, Serge, NuPwr, Pais, etc., ass-kissers? I don't think so. There are people who absolutely adore Prince, who actually have nothing bad to say about the guy. I'm still glad there's a place where they can go and be positive all the time.

This made me chuckle. Give me a break. ALL web forums have hostility at some time or another, even if it is between say only two members. Everyone at NPGMC is given the chance to be included, people will argue, mods will warn and ban rule-breakers, that happens here too. Sheesh.

Hi Ivy wave
Just somewhere in the middle,

Okay-maybe inclusive was the wrong choice of word,it just feels like the Org is less hostile, nearly every time I have been to NPGMC I have encountered some sort of hostility, like it's an elite club that gives new members a hard time whereas I felt accepted here straight away. When I asked why this was happening the members said that I had not posted enough times or been in the chat to be accepted, and that's precisely why I don't post on there anymore. It makes me sad. sad

I agree about the clique over there, but I disagree with you about the hostility because I don't think there is any over there.

On this site alone, I enjoy the varying opinions on varying topics but also have seen some downright insulting, hostile and derogatory statements about Prince. If I was an entertainer, I would not allow anything but positive statements to be allowed on my website. If you can't take the ass kissing, well, there are other places to go.

I agree that there are some terrible things said about Prince on here and I hate it,I was referring to the nastiness between members to each other and those who don't post much in particular. It's just unnecessary and there's no reason for it-we should all be united by our interest in Prince.

That was my point exactly, One feels as if they're catering & construction every word with caution--as if someone is watching you type. Whereas here I feel as if I can breath while I type. The real funny thing is I've more than likely played before at leat half of them, but anonimity in the cyber-world gives one great pleasure, you see people 4 what & who they really r.I don't care who u are, I'm sure Prince, without-doubt, has frequented his own site wnd was ignored. Which would make Him trip!!! I've seen all the P.P.moderators face to face, and of course I acted coy. I would love to say hey, I'm so& so from the forum and watch their face's drop. I laugh just thinking of it!!! DAC

I agree there is a lot of hostility there. I was just writting in another post how I think some of the people there use the NPG for theraputic reasons, when they need to hire shrinks.

Hmm, this sounds more like Censorship and it has me wonder that if U post here @ The Org that possibly U don't even VISIT The NPGMC anymore. From time 2 time I visit The Org (perhaps 1nce a weekend) but people R more of a TRIP "here" then there. U say somethin' they don't like, it's removed. Even here @ The Org it's the same thing...

POSITIVITY... That's all U need...

For the most part,I never visit or post on "official" sites and forums.I like the freedom of a site like Prince.org,where you can say what you really feel.

You CAN say whatever you want at the Club. It's all how you say it. People don't like having to THINK before they ramble incessantly.

How anybody could think there is more hostility there than here is completely beyond me, though. Really.

Hostility can come in many forms....like say ignoring someone who just joined and posts and is treated like an alien. The core of "club" members are some of the most ignorant indiduals I have encountered in my life. And I've seen and dealt with a whole lot of peep's in my day. I'll say this 4 the last time . Those Mods believe they r above anyone who posts on the forums, and they may flip burgers for a living, but when they get on the board ....forget it!!!Good Luck D

exactly

sad part is
they're not there to learn anything
they're only after what they can get
and take great pride in what they ignorantly project
they dont listen to anything that challenges their own beliefs
they talk about respect and gratitude but never show it
they are quite happy stagnating in their own ego

which is no surprise really
they work for Prince lol

last i heard
the CIA has that site under the microscope
for theft and false advertising

i just feel sorry for the people who post there who dont see beyond the charade

" any specie that fails to evolve is doomed to extinction"

" any cell that fails to be self cleansing will die of its own pollution "

no 'award' can cover up the facts.

I'll agree with you that a lot of the posters there seem disproportionately ignorant, as opposed to here... but I do like that there isn't a lot of Prince-dissing going on (as opposed to here). Larry dissing, however, seems allowed...

Well, u,Moonb,Ivy,Keithy,How far should I go? I actually meant "clique" members- but u could apply core as well. There are about 30-40 core peeps who have been there since Love 4 1 another. I've tried to tell you in an off- hand way u don't know with whom u diss. U can dig up my profile, it's a pseudonym! But valid. You guy's seem like decent people, but when u get up on the boards, because maybe u exchanged a couple of syllables with P, u think 1.U know the Man.2. U r above anyone who posts on those boards. From the feedback on the thread I am not alone in my assessment. yeah, have seen a definite "superiority" vibe there too... can't figure out why, because the core members seem like very average americans over there. i guess i dig the international crowd here, and there seem to be more intellectuals as well...
