My reply is that I would be happy if Prince were to release a live set (mostly for the sound quality), but if he insisted on cleaning it up and adding as many overdubs as there are on "DOW" I say don't bother.

Don't get me wrong... I think your opinion is correct that the Club's messages are to vague.
But I think this is also a matter of thinking what he, Prince/the Artist wants to do with his shit.

As this message implies... he perhabs wants to release performances from the celebration to the club's members.

Since this Club is an EXCLUSIVE club, he can't have no widespread unauthorized reproduction and distribution of these performances before its release to the members...

commercially or non-commercially ... that doesn't make a difference in this case, when it concerns the making avalaible of this music to the club in an exclusive form.


Think from that perspective for a while.

Prince, Don't worry bout the folx who bought the boots...just use that to see how in demand your stuff is...they will buy the set again from you if you release it...believe that!! and release it "as is" even...don't even worry bout "fixin'" anything...don't need no overdubs, or special effects...just the raw music as it was and as it should be!! I personally love boots because of the banter and the mistakes and all of the "real" stuff on them. My favorite is "who's the fool singin' will? It's would!" LOL I love that part!!

As much as I would like to hear everything from the Cele, I hope that Prince includes ALOT of his music as well.
